Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ventura Leatherware Mfy. (BD) Ltd, a 100% export-oriented enterprise located in Uttara EPZ, Nilphamari, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Officer – Incoming Material Quality Control (IQC). The position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, efficient use, and timely availability of incoming materials to support smooth production flow and alignment with customer standards.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Inspect incoming materials (e.g., leather, fabric) for defects and standard compliance.
∎ • Report defects with analysis and photos; escalate critical issues.
∎ • Analyze cut data for marker efficiency and material yield.
∎ • Monitor usage and minimize loss through optimized nesting.
∎ • Coordinate with Purchasing/Planning for material flow and issue resolution.
∎ • Follow up on supplier rejections, shortages, and compensations.
∎ • Align material specs with Sales, QA, PD, and Cutting teams.
∎ • Support swatch/mock-up approvals and clarify supplier instructions.
∎ • Prepare regular reports on quality, defects, loss, and supplier performance.
∎ • Help develop SOPs, improve inspection methods, and join audits/initiatives.
∎ • Guide juniors on IQC practices and stay updated on specs and supplier standards.
