Responsibilities & Context:

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the Fastener Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production of fasteners and wire nails.

• Plan, supervise, monitor, and control daily production activities to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

• Oversee the complete manufacturing process, including Cold Heading (Fastener & Nail Forming), Tail Drilling, Thread Rolling, Heat Treatment (Temper Furnace), Washer Assembly, and related finishing operations.

• Ensure proper machine setup, operation, optimization, and process improvement to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the Maintenance team to ensure maximum machine availability and reliability.

• Maintain and continuously improve product quality, ensuring customer specifications.

• Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, material consumption, and labor productivity, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity enhancement, waste reduction, process optimization, and manufacturing cost reduction.

• Prepare, review, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and machine performance records.

• Develop production schedules in coordination with Planning, Procurement, Stores, and Sales departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.

• Supervise, train, and evaluate engineers, supervisors, technicians, and machine operators to improve technical competency and operational performance.

• Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance throughout the department.

• Manage departmental resources effectively, including manpower, machinery, tools, and production materials.

• Support new product development, process validation, and implementation of new machinery or production technologies.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and statutory requirements.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
