Job Context:

Meghna Re-Rolling and Steel Mills Limited (MRSML), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries is established a top-notch steel factory in Bangladesh with the latest European technologies and machinery having a production capacity of 1.5 million MT per annum. The vision of this concern is to produce world-class re-rolling products and billets, which will meet the uprising demand in the local market and will also bring significant economic growth by exporting around the globe. We are looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance head for its Rolling Mill Plant. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable management systems. The role oversees laboratory operations, billet and finished product inspections, process control, customer complaint management, and continual improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and monitor all QAD activities, including laboratory operations, billet inspection, process analysis, product inspection, and dispatch inspection.

  • Develop and implement departmental plans, annual budgets, and quality objectives aligned with company goals.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, customer requirements, and statutory regulations.

  • Implement, maintain, and continually improve management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable systems.

  • Ensure timely closure of all internal and external audit findings and maintain audit readiness at all times.

  • Establish and maintain effective process control measures, including process point analysis and management of process deviations.

  • Make decisions regarding non-conforming products (NCP) and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

  • Handle customer quality-related complaints and support product and customer development initiatives.

  • Prepare, implement, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues and improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements related to QAD activities.

  • Lead continual improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and departmental performance.

  • Submit regular departmental performance reports (MIS) and present departmental activities and improvement initiatives to GM, Operations.

  • Consult and coordinate with GM, Operations and other relevant stakeholders whenever required for critical or cross-functional matters.

  • Achieve assigned KPIs, KRAs, departmental objectives, and performance targets.

  • Maintain effective coordination and communication within the department and with other functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
