  • Age At most 45 years
  • 1-2 years of working experience in the relevant field and working experiences in Rohingya responses will be added value.

  • Ability to take initiative and generate ideas for complex situations.

  • Knowledge/understanding of humanitarian architecture, disability inclusion standards, accessibility etc.

  • Diplomacy skills and ability to understand and handle multiple perspectives.

  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment and handle stress with limited supervision.

  • Excellent oral and written English and Bangla and capacity to produce learning documents and products.

  • Experience in humanitarian context/ Cox’s Bazar context to provide rehabilitation services will be added extra value.

  • Effective communication, conflict management and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent team management skills.

  • Creativity and ability to generate new ideas to improve services.

  • Skill in capturing good practices and documentation

  • Excellent communication skills in both Bengali & English.



Responsibilities & Context:

*** Job Description:

  • Conduct assessment and plan for counseling session

  • Conduct individual & Group counseling sessions.

  • Conduct motivation sessions with family member of the project participant to improve family support to them.

  • Establish & maintain referral linkage with other MHPSS service providers

  • Refer project participants to Psychiatrist for higher lever management.

  • Crisis Intervention: Assess and respond to crises and emergencies such as after fire incidence.

  • Develop case story and prepare monthly report with good practice

  • Documentation of case files and other related information about service delivery.

  • Organize periodic stress management session for other team members of the project.

  • Develop different IEC for raising awareness on Mental Health in community.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.

  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by the supervisor/line manager or CDD management.

  • The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

  • The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its former Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.

  • CDD is accepting application for the mentioned position under a project named ‘Inclusive Humanitarian actions for the protracted crisis of the Rohingya and the host in Cox’s Bazar (Extension)” funded by CBMG and ’Enhancing Access to Critical Health and Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Disabilities in the Rohingya Camps and Host Communities in Bangladesh” funded by ASB.

    The duration of the project is till 31st December 2026.

  • The selected candidate will initially be hired for a three-month probationary period. Upon successful completion of this period, his/her employment contract will be renewed accordingly.
