Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Strong knowledge of textile testing standards (AATCC, ISO, ASTM, etc.) and chemical analysis procedures.
Knowledge on Laboratory Quality Management System ISO/IEC 17025, Chemical Management and Color Management System.
Hands-on experience with modern laboratory equipment and software (e.g., Datacolor, Spectrophotometers, etc.).
Familiarity with buyer compliance standards and audit requirements.
Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory reporting tools.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Should have sound technical knowledge on Testing Laboratory and Shade QC.
Responsibilities & Context: We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Laboratory (Testing Lab) Manager/Senior Manager for our dyeing factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of all testing procedures within the laboratory. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dyeing factory’s testing laboratory, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain testing protocols and SOPs for fabric, color fastness, chemical analysis, and other parameters.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained properly to guarantee accurate results.
- Supervise and train laboratory technicians and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Liaise with the production, quality control, and R&D teams to support product development and resolve technical issues.
- Review and approve test reports, and ensure timely reporting of test results to relevant departments.
- Monitor lab performance metrics and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with relevant ISO, buyer, and industry standards.
- Evaluate new testing methods and technologies for potential adoption in the laboratory.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to lab functions.
