5 to 8 years’ experience as garment technician.
Strong knowledge of textiles, garment construction and pattern-making.
Ability to interpret design sketches and technical specifications.
Proficiency in CAD software and garment measurement systems.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with designers, buyers and manufacturers.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability in fit, quality, and production issues.
Responsibilities & Context:
Able to fit samples on mannequins, assess garment balance and aesthetics, and provide actionable fit comments with sketches/photos.
Review proto, fit, pre-production, top-of-production & Gold seal samples against specifications.
Able to communicate with buyer on all fitting and sample approvals.
Develop and enforce standards for garment construction, sizing, and grading.
Identify and resolve production risks related to efficiency, quality or construction.
Work with design teams to ensure creative vision is technically feasible
Act as the primary technical contact for buyer & factories, ensuring clear instructions and minimizing errors.
