We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our Readymade Garment (RMG) factory located in Ashulia, Dhaka. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and evaluating operational procedures, financial records, inventory management, and compliance standards across all departments. This role ensures the safeguarding of company assets, operational efficiency, and adherence to internal policies, local labor laws, and international buyer compliance codes.
Conduct regular financial, compliance, and operational audits across various departments, including accounts, procurement, commercial, HR, and production.
Review financial transactions, ledger entries, vouchers, cash/bank reconciliations, and payroll processing to verify accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems and identify potential financial or operational risks.
Monitor inventory controls and conduct periodic physical stock counts for raw materials (fabrics, accessories), finished goods, and spare parts.
Audit the procurement lifecycle—from requisition and quotation evaluation to purchase order issuance, goods receiving, and vendor payment processing.
Investigate stock discrepancies, wastages, scrap management, and material utilization rates against standard consumption budgets.
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), local regulatory frameworks (e.g., Bangladesh Labor Law), and tax/VAT guidelines.
Verify compliance with international buyer codes of conduct, social compliance standards, and ethical trading practices.
Check working hours, overtime records, wage disbursements, and leave management systems in coordination with the HR and payroll teams.
Prepare comprehensive, objective internal audit reports highlighting findings, control weaknesses, and actionable recommendations.
Follow up with department heads to ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on audit findings.
Assist management and external auditors during statutory, financial, and buyer-mandated audits.
Conduct surprise spot-checks and special investigations as directed by management.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by senior management.
Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant discipline from a reputed university. Part-qualified CMA/CA or relevant professional certifications will be given preference.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven internal audit or accounts experience, ideally within the RMG, textile, or manufacturing sector.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (such as Tally, SAP, or industry-specific software), and financial data analysis.
Knowledge Base: Sound understanding of manufacturing accounting, inventory valuation methods, Bangladesh Labor Rules, and compliance frameworks.
Soft Skills: High level of integrity, strong analytical thinking, excellent report-writing skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across all organizational levels.
