Experience:
Establish, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all production departments (Knitting, Linking, Washing, Ironing, Packing).
Formulate and update Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with international standards and specific buyer manuals.
Drive a "Right First Time" (RFT) culture across the production floor to reduce rework and wastage.
Conduct pre-production (PP) meetings to identify potential quality risks (e.g., yarn defects, measurement discrepancies, color shading) and establish preventive actions.
Oversee inline, endline, and final audits (AQL system) to ensure strict adherence to approved tech packs and counter-samples.
Closely monitor the Washing & Finishing processes, ensuring correct shrinkage, hand-feel, and color-fastness properties are achieved.
Interface directly with buyer QA teams, third-party inspection agencies, and buying house representatives during audits and final inspections.
Investigate customer complaints or quality claims; perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of Quality Assistants, Supervisors, and Inspectors.
Conduct regular training sessions for floor workers and QA staff on sweater defects (e.g., dropped stitches, coarse gauge, uneven linking, yarn contamination).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related discipline from a reputed university. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the apparel QA sector, with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial role specifically within a sweater manufacturing factory.
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of sweater construction, yarn counts, gauges (e.g., 3GG to 14GG), and knitting machinery (Jacquard/Stoll/Shima Seiki).
Mastery of standard AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspection levels (e.g., AQL 1.5/2.5).
Thorough understanding of testing standards (physical and chemical) required by major US/EU buyers.
Skills: Excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English; strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
