Responsibilities & Context:

1. Supervise daily circular knitting operations to ensure smooth production and consistent quality.

2. Monitor production of 60% Cotton / 40% Polyester CVC 3-Thread Fleece and 95% Cotton / 5% Lycra 2x2 Rib.

3. Ensure correct machine settings, stitch length, yarn tension, GSM, diameter, and machine speed.

4. Check knitted fabric regularly and identify defects at an early stage.

5. Identify and solve defects such as yarn missing, hole, thick-thin, patta, slub, line mark, needle line, and lycra-out.

6. Find the root cause of recurring knitting defects and take corrective action.

7. Regularly check needles, sinkers, cams, feeders, yarn tension, and other machine parts.

8. Ensure timely preventive maintenance and machine servicing to maintain consistent knitting quality.

9. Monitor yarn quality and yarn feeding to prevent knitting defects.

10. Ensure proper machine-wise production, quality, defect, and downtime records.

11. Coordinate with Quality, Lab, Dyeing, Production, and Maintenance teams to solve technical issues.

12. Ensure knitted fabric meets approved GSM, width, construction, appearance, and quality standards.

13. Take immediate action when any machine or fabric quality problem is found.

14. Maintain proper machine cleanliness, yarn arrangement, waste control, and housekeeping on the knitting floor.

15. Train and guide knitting operators and helpers on machine operation, defect prevention, quality, and proper housekeeping.
