Responsibilities & Context: Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion, Bangladesh mission, is looking for an HR Officer (Casual Worker) for human resources management support and employee data maintenance service in software at its head office in Dhaka.
Contextual Summary of Human Resources Department:
Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion (HI) started its operation in Bangladesh in 1997. HI Bangladesh currently runs programs with activities focused on health & rehabilitation, disaster risk reduction, promoting disability rights, socio-economic development, and/or poverty graduation.
The Human Resources department is currently facing a high volume of workload due to the closure of two team members and the parallel use of two systems for HR and payroll management. As part of the ongoing HR HI People, we need to update and enter past employee data into the software up to June 2025.
Objective or service:
To support the HR department in managing and entering backlog data into HI People and assist with other data-related tasks as required. This support will help ensure data accuracy, reduce workload pressure, and maintain HR operational efficiency & smoothness.
Responsibilities of the HR Officer:
- Enter and update past employee data in HI People up to June 2025
- Support with other data entry as needed
- Assist in organizing employee files and records
- Coordinate with HR team members for data collection and clarification
- Perform other administrative or data entry tasks assigned by the HR team
Deliverable:
- Daily and Weekly Activity report
- Completed and accurate employee data was entered into the HI People system for all past employees up to June 2025
- Timely and accurate entry of various HR-related data as requested
- Well-organized, up-to-date employee digital or physical file system
- Status reports or updates showing progress and resolution of pending items
Duration and place of performance of the service and condition:
- Base location: Dhaka.
- The HR Officer (Casual worker) may be deployed in other site offices of HI (Teknaf, Ukhiya) based on need.
- Duration of working hours: Working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Half-hour lunch break), 5 days.
Contact Person:
- During the performance of the service, the HR Officer (Casual worker) will be required to work in liaison with Handicap International HR teams, and notably with the Senior HR Officer & Senior HR Officer - Recruitment (as when required), who will be his/her contact person.
Administrative terms and conditions:
- The maximum duration for this position must not exceed more than 180 (one hundred & eighty) days, which could be terminated earlier based on program need.
- Such contracts can be extended after a reasonable periodic break of between 1 and 3 weeks prior to renegotiating them.
- 8 (eight) hours per day. Subject to the overtime payment, no worker is allowed to work more than 10 (ten) hours a day. The Casual worker will follow the HI BGD working time.
- The payment will be made monthly based on the service received, confirmation from the contact person by followingthe Incentive rates for casual workers (Skill), HI Salary Scale (basic level 1/22 days). Payment will be made for the days worked by the casual workers.
- Payment must be included with all coverage, and NO additional cost will be paid for transport or accommodation or any other benefits. The rate must include Tax and be applicable to the deduction of TAX at the source as per government rules. For field visits, the HI per diem policy will be applicable.
Job Other Benifits: - Weekly 2 holidays
Place of performance:
HI will not pay for any transport, accommodation, Per diem, benefits, or others.
The HR Officer (Casual Worker) must ensure a full 8.30 hours of working time (30 mints lunch break) with a reporting mechanism at the base.
The HR Officer (Casual Worker) must ensure support for other offices at Teknaf, remotely regularly and when required to go physically based on the confirmation of the Human resource manager.
For inter-office movement from Ukhiya, HI will arrange vehicle support.
As per HI casual worker salary grid, HR Officer (Casual worker) will get paid 2000 taka BDT per day and Payment will be on the daily basis.
Salary of HR Officer (Casual Worker) will be considered for vat & tax deduction.
