Line Manager: Team Manager
Reporting to the Team Manager, the incumbent will provide door-to-door primary health care services, especially antenatal care and postnatal care check-ups, family planning, dressing of wound infections, treatment of skin infections, first-degree burns, diarrhea & other basic treatments, data collection, screening of patients, health promotion, and necessary referrals to other health facilities for the Rohingya community.

Mission 1: Operational implementation
Objective 1: Identification of beneficiaries
Contribute to the identification of persons with medical needs through house-to-house visits;
Medical screening of beneficiaries, including history taking and examination of vital signs;
Assessment of the main medical needs of the person and refer to internal/External wings where needed;
Guide SRH volunteers, during the identification/mobilization exercise;
Identify and follow up with clients for success stories or case study documentation while providing service;
Objective 2: Nursing Care
Provide treatment and care for minor wounds and bedsores, care for skin infections, dressing for burns and fractures, and management of initial stages of acute watery diarrhea.
Provide follow-up care, as necessary;
Provide health promotion messages, including advice to pregnant and breastfeeding women, family planning, and hygiene promotion;
Assist the patients in understanding their condition, provide recommendations, and educate the patient, their family members, or caregiver to understand self-care skills and answer their questions or confusions regarding health practices;
Collect data and related information to update beneficiary files on the Survey CTO on the spot;
Refer patients to internal departments and/or external health facilities by maintaining close collaboration with them.
Collect/document success stories & good practices related to SRH services & inclusion and share them with the team manager and technical officer-SRH.
Objective 3: Sexual and Reproductive Health services
Provide a rationale for decisions that affect care and enable them to make informed choices about their sexuality and sexual and reproductive health and family planning;
Provide quality maternal and newborn health services, including maternal health care counseling on three broad aspects, such as general counseling, birth planning counseling, and advice on family planning, breastfeeding, and immunization after delivery;
Maintain records of SRH & family planning-related materials and statistics as required;
Monitor community awareness sessions of SRH community worker volunteers and ensure that appropriate messages are being delivered to the community by them on topics like maternal and child health care, family planning, sexual and reproductive health and rights, STD/HIV, SGBV, and other emergency breakdowns to reduce the vulnerability of women and adolescent children among family and community, including the person with disabilities and the most vulnerable population.
Supervision the activity of community health workers by the provision of continuous guidance and support and educating them on different SRHR topics to ensure the quality of their services;
Support in awareness-raising activity of community leaders and majhis on different SRHR-specific topics.
Objective 4: Referral and Follow-up
Support the Team Manager in mapping the existing health services in the area of intervention;
Ensure internal/external referrals with regular follow-up of beneficiaries to obtain proper services, and collect feedback from beneficiaries on services provided for documentation.
Maintain strong communication with the focal person of other health facilities and ambulance services providers of the respective camps for easy referral of cases during emergencies;
Communication and association with other members of the mobile unit team, regarding internal referrals (MHPSS, Protection, Rehabilitation and other social workers), ensuring a comprehensive approach;
Support in development of IEC material as per project need;
Be responsible and accountable for the patients' care while referring them to the selected secondary and tertiary health facilities for providing health care services or support;
Proper documentation of client’s data and reporting within time.
Objective 5: Conduct
Demonstrate an ethical and professional practice;
Respect the confidentiality of the beneficiaries and colleagues;
Complies with all health hygiene and safety procedures to ensure safety of own as well as others in the workplace;
Respect and promote HI’s standard and Policies and immediately report to the line manager if any disrespectful approaches toward HI policies have seen among the teams or partners;
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to the beneficiary or others in the team;
Always interact with children in presence of their parents or caregivers;
Always take consent from beneficiary before performing any physical examination, wound care management or mobilizations.
Always respect a refusal of treatment and/or feedbacks and complaints from beneficiary;
Work with the best of knowledge and abilities to offer a good quality of nursing care and treatment.
