• At least 03years’ experience in the ECD Programme (preferably as a Project officer/ Technical)

• Ability to communicate in local dialect (Chittagonion Dialect).

• Ability to prepare different programmatic report writing in English and Bangla

• Essential and conversant in common IT applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, internet browsing & e-mail communications)

• Ability to develop training module

• Interested to work with Rohingya community.

• Computer Knowledge is a must (MS Word, Excel – typing Bangla and English). The applicant will have participated in a competitive computer test.

• Ability to prepare a different programmatic report in English and Bangla

• Ability to write clear and concise reports and case stories in English and Bangla

• Sound knowledge of pedagogical aspects and techniques and project cycle management

• Excellent planning and analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working atmosphere

• Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors, and allies

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Knowledge, Skills & Competences:

• Strong technical knowledge and practical understanding of humanitarian education, early childhood development, play-based learning, caregiver engagement, and psychosocial support, particularly in the Rohingya refugee context.

• Demonstrated experience in field-level programme coordination, community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building with communities and relevant government and camp-level authorities.

• Strong supervision, mentoring, coaching, and capacity-building skills, with the ability to guide and motivate field staff, volunteers, facilitators, and community-based teams.

• Good understanding of safeguarding principles, including child protection, prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), prevention of harm, and safe programming practices.

• Ability to monitor programme quality, identify operational challenges and risks, provide practical solutions, and ensure activities are implemented in line with project standards and objectives.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, coordination, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, caregivers, community members, colleagues, government representatives, and multiple stakeholders.

• Strong ability to respect and respond sensitively to differences in culture, opinions, backgrounds, and lived experiences while promoting children's rights, education, dignity, and well-being.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in challenging field environments while maintaining a positive, professional, and solution-oriented attitude.

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development, working in the greater Chattogram division including Hill Tracts (CHT) since 1985 (International Youth Year). YPSA is going to implement the project " Advancing Scalable Solutions to Transform the Lives of Children on the Move: Play to Learn 2.0”. LEGO Foundation is funding the project through BRAC Bangladesh till November, 2027.

Job Title: Project Officer (Male/Female)

Duration: 16 Months.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Support the rollout and implementation of Humanitarian Play Lab (HPL) activities, including caregiver & Parents engagement sessions, in targeted communities while ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and guidelines.

• Supervise field-level implementation of daily play-based sessions, caregiver engagement, and psychosocial support activities to ensure effective and quality service delivery.

• Coordinate logistics for teaching and learning materials, Play Lab setup, material distribution, and community mobilization activities.

• Provide regular supervision, mentoring, and coaching to Field Facilitators, Case Workers, Para-Counselling Volunteers, Play Leaders, and others relevant project personnel.

• Conduct regular field visits to monitor programme activities, assess implementation quality, identify gaps, and provide timely on-site guidance and feedback.

• Support the capacity building of field staff and volunteers through trainings, refresher sessions, and mentoring, and facilitated learning sessions.

• Ensure the appropriate use, management, and maintenance of teaching and learning materials in HPLs, including regular monitoring and updating of stock records.

• Proactively identify operational and programme-related risks, develop appropriate mitigation measures, and address emerging challenges in a timely manner.

• Maintain effective coordination with CiC, Camp Focal Points, government representatives, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth programme implementation.

• Promote and ensure the safety and well-being of programme participants, staff, volunteers, and all individuals who come into contact with the organization by preventing and addressing harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).

• Serve as a key source of support, guidance, and technical assistance on safeguarding issues and contribute to establishing and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment.

• Promote awareness and adherence to organizational safeguarding policies and standards among team members, ensuring that safeguarding principles are integrated into all programme activities and actions.

• Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and actively encourage staff and volunteers to report concerns through the appropriate channels.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain open and professional relations with all the project team members, promoting a strong & respectful team spirit, ensuring effective communication, and opportunities for debriefing.

• Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to YPSA management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop YPSA programs.

• Monthly Consolidated Salary: BDT 55,000/-
