• At least 02years’ experience in the ECD Programme or Child Protection Programme (preferably as a Case Worker/Field Officer)

• Ability to communicate in local dialect (Chittagonion Dialect).

• Interested to work with Rohingya community.

• Ability to prepare a different programmatic report in English and Bangla

• Ability to write clear and concise reports and case stories in English and Bangla

• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working atmosphere

• Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors, and allies

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities & Context:

Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development, working in the greater Chattogram division including Hill Tracts (CHT) since 1985 (International Youth Year). YPSA is going to implement the project " Advancing Scalable Solutions to Transform the Lives of Children on the Move: Play to Learn 2.0”. LEGO Foundation is funding the project through BRAC Bangladesh till November, 2027.

Job Title: Case Worker (Female)

Duration: 14 Months.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

• Conduct home-to-home visits to identify, assess, and register vulnerable children exposed to abuse, neglect, exploitation, child marriage, trafficking, separation, and other protection risks.

• Provide child-centred case management support and ensure children have timely access to appropriate services, including health, nutrition, psychosocial, legal, and other specialized services through established referral pathways.

• Conduct family tracing and support the safe reunification of separated children with parents or appropriate family members in coordination with relevant authorities and child protection agencies.

• Assess protection risks and emerging trends within the community and report findings to the Protection Focal Person, recommending appropriate prevention and mitigation measures.

• Identify gaps and challenges in referral pathways and coordinate with ECD staff, service providers, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen referral mechanisms.

• Work closely with Community Mobilizers to build community trust, strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms, and improve identification and referral of vulnerable children.

• Coordinate with the YPSA Child Protection Team to ensure effective linkages between individual case management and community-based child protection mechanisms.

• Coordinate with other agencies and service providers for appropriate case referrals, transfers, follow-up, and continuity of services.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards and data protection principles.

• Prepare and submit timely weekly case management reports and other required reports to supervisors.

• Ensure all case management and child protection interventions comply with organizational policies, procedures, child safeguarding standards, and applicable protection principles.

• Promote the safety, dignity, and well-being of children, programme participants, staff, and community members by preventing and responding to abuse, neglect, exploitation, harassment, and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA).

• Promote safeguarding awareness among team members and ensure safeguarding standards are integrated into all programme activities and interactions.

• Follow established safeguarding reporting procedures for any reportable incident and encourage colleagues and community members to raise concerns through appropriate channels.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain open and professional relations with all the project team members, promoting a strong & respectful team spirit, ensuring effective communication, and opportunities for debriefing.

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop YPSA programs.
