The Project Officer will support the implementation of the LEGO Foundation-funded project "Play to Learn 2.0: Advancing Scalable Solutions to Transform the Lives of Children on the Move". The position will be responsible for overseeing field-level activities, supervising Field Facilitators and volunteers, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring quality implementation of Humanitarian Play Lab (HPL) activities, and supporting project monitoring, reporting, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
Project Implementation and Supervision
Support the rollout of Humanitarian Play Lab (HPL) activities, mother-child dyad sessions, caregiver engagement activities, and father engagement sessions in targeted communities.
Supervise field-level implementation to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
Ensure timely delivery of project activities according to approved work plans.
Conduct regular field visits and provide technical guidance and support to field teams.
Team Management and Capacity Building
Supervise and mentor Field Facilitators and project volunteers.
Organize orientation sessions, refresher trainings, and learning events for project staff and volunteers.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional development among project personnel.
Community Engagement and Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with CiC offices, Camp Focal Points, RRRC representatives, local authorities, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
Support community mobilization and participation in project activities.
Maintain effective relationships with project partners and humanitarian actors.
Logistics and Resource Management
Coordinate logistics related to project implementation, distribution of learning materials, and establishment of play spaces.
Ensure proper utilization, storage, and inventory management of project supplies and materials.
Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate records.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)
Support project monitoring and data collection activities.
Track progress against project indicators and targets.
Identify implementation challenges and recommend corrective actions.
Contribute to documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare field reports, activity reports, and implementation updates.
Maintain accurate records of project activities and beneficiary information.
Support preparation of donor and organizational reports.
Safeguarding, Child Protection and PSEA
· Safeguarding and PSEA: To meet the program's objectives for safeguarding and PSEA implementation, make sure team members are protected from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. Serve as a major resource for help, direction, and knowledge on safeguarding for developing a safe workplace. To ensure that safeguarding standards are used in every course of action, team members should practice, advocate, and embrace safeguarding policy concerns.
Ensure implementation of safeguarding, child protection, and PSEA standards throughout project activities.
Promote awareness of safeguarding policies among staff, volunteers, and community members.
Report safeguarding concerns following organizational procedures.
Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for children, caregivers, and project personnel.
Risk Management
Identify operational risks and implementation challenges proactively.
Support mitigation measures to ensure smooth project implementation.
Escalate major risks and concerns to the Project Manager.
Other Duties
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or organizational management to support successful project implementation.
