Experience:
3.1 Animal Health and Technical Advisory
● Deliver Technical Support Service to assigned borrowers through in-person visits, mobile phone, messaging and SAJIDA’s digital advisory platforms.
● Visit livestock and composite farming households to advise on modern animal husbandry practices, delivered through both physical and digital channels.
● Coordinate and support vaccination campaigns, deworming rounds and primary treatment for cattle, goats and poultry.
● Educate farmers on the importance of vaccination, biosecurity and proper livestock and poultry management practice.
● Resolve routine animal health, nutrition and husbandry issues, and refer complex clinical cases to the Senior TSS Officer/Technical Specialist (Livestock) or Senior Area Manager – Livestock.
● Provide first-line agricultural advisory within the limits of training received, so that livestock support is delivered in the context of the household’s whole farming system.
3.2 Training and Capacity Building
● Conduct on-the-job training sessions and practical demonstrations on animal health, disease prevention, feeding and nutrition to programme participants.
● Support borrower orientation and seasonal capacity-building sessions at branch level.
3.3 Input, Insurance and Market Linkage
● Help farmers and local dealers use feed, animal health products and equipment correctly and safely, including observance of withdrawal periods.
● Support livestock insurance enrolment, borrower awareness and claims documentation in coordination with the Agri-Insurance team.
● Connect livestock and dairy producers with veterinary services, feed suppliers and local markets.
3.4 Monitoring, Records and Reporting
● Assess local farming needs, track technical support delivery and report progress to the Senior TSS Officer.
● Maintain accurate records of all technical support activity, including vaccination and treatment records, and prepare periodic reports.
● Verify that borrower contact details and loan-scheme classifications held in the management information system match field reality, and report discrepancies.
● Assist in preparing project reports, success stories and lessons learned based on fieldwork and participant feedback.
3.5 Coordination
● Serve as the communication link between programme participants, local farming groups, dealers and the Agriculture Unit.
● Maintain working communication with the Department of Livestock Services, Upazila Livestock Offices and other relevant institutions.
3.6 Programme Integrity
● Deliver technical support services only in assigned branches. No advisory, input package or partner-linked activity is to be provided in any branch designated as a research control area. Ensure overall programme objectives are met.
3.7 Mobility
● Travel within the assigned branches and, where required, support other locations.
● Carry out additional tasks as required for the programme.
