Experience:
Candidates have 2 years relevant field experience in fisheries/aquaculture will be given preference.
Good knowledge of aquaculture and pond fish farming.
Strong communication and farmer mobilization skills.
Ability to conduct training and implementation of demonstrations.
Good reporting, documentation, and data collection skills.
Willingness to work in the field and travel regularly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good computer knowledge (MS Office).
Relevant working experience with PKSF or any project funded by multi-lateral development partners would be preferred.

NDP implements wide-ranging programs in Education, Health, Agriculture, Housing, and Microfinance Programme in collaboration with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and various national & international development stakeholders.
Job Summary: National Development Programme (NDP) is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Assistant Fisheries Officer under Agro-Microenterprise Development Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical support & Advisory service to fish farmers on pond preparation, stocking, feeding, water quality management & overall pond management.
Support farmers in fish health management, disease prevention, and implementation of biosecurity measures.
Facilitate farmer training, group meetings, selection of demonstrations and aquaculture extension services.
Promote improved, safe, sustainable, and climate-resilient aquaculture practices among project beneficiaries.
To assist the distribution and proper use of project inputs such as fish fry or fingerlings, feed, lime, and other aquaculture inputs.
Conduct regular field visits to identify farmers’ challenges and provide timely technical solutions.
Collect, verify, and maintain accurate data on aquaculture production, input use, income, expenditure, and beneficiary activities.
Monitor project activities and prepare timely daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Coordinate with the Upazila Fisheries Office, local stakeholders, community groups, and relevant project partners.
Assist in achieving project targets through effective field-level implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of aquaculture interventions.
Any other task assigned by the authority.
Monthly consolidated salary is BDT 35,000/-
Other admissible benefits (Festival Bonus, Bangla Noboborsho allowance, Mobile allowance, etc.) as per the project budget & organization's policy.
Salary and other admissible benefits (if any) are inclusive of all taxes as imposed by the government of Bangladesh. Taxes will be deducted at sources as per government rules.
