There is a vacancy for the following regular position based at LAMB Hospital, Parbatipur, Dinajpur:

Job Summary: To provide quality nursing care to all patients and demonstrate leadership responsibility to all nursing staff. Responsible for patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration, wound care, implementation of doctors’ orders, patient education, and antenatal and postnatal care. Assists with normal and complicated deliveries and provides nursing services in the Antenatal and Mobile Clinics, including appropriate assessment and referral.

1.     Demonstrates Nursing Care given in the name and spirit of Jesus Christ.

2.     Provide quality general Nursing care, including but not limited to:     

            a.     Arrives on the Ward at the correct time for report.

b.     Listens to report and notes special problems/concerns and follows through with them during the duty.

c.     Makes ward rounds throughout duty to assess for status changes and complications; notifying the doctor when indicated.

d.     Attends rounds with Doctors and accurately checks chart to carry out doctors’ orders in a timely matter, promptly questioning orders that are unclear.

e.     Monitors Vital Signs and Intake/Output; notifying the doctor when indicated.

f.      Administers medications via all routes as ordered by the doctor, within the allowed time frame; promptly questioning orders that are not clearly understood.

g.     Administering blood per the Blood Transfusion policy; assessing for any signs/symptoms of reaction, stopping the transfusion and notifying the doctor immediately if one is suspected.

h.     Has good knowledge and understanding of emergency trolley and how to initiate resuscitation on babies, children and adults; promptly attends to emergency patients.

i.      Dressing changes and wound care with the appropriate technique.

Provides ongoing patient education in all issues (health, sanitation, breast-feeding, etc.)

Grand total salary of Tk. 18,724/- per month, inclusive all benefits. The remuneration package includes a travel & food allowance, provident fund, critical illness and death benefits, and recreation contribution, with the organization’s contribution as applicable. Other benefit includes medical care at LAMB Hospital.
