The Association for Prevention of Septic Abortion, Bangladesh (BAPSA) is implementing the project titled “Health System Resiliency for Improved SRHR in Bangladesh,” supported by Global Affairs Canada through HealthBridge Foundation of Canada. As part of the project, BAPSA is offering internship opportunities for motivated individuals who are interested in gaining practical experience in finance and administration and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) programming.
This internship provides motivated individuals with practical, hands-on experience in a professional development project. Interns will work closely with BAPSA staff and gain exposure to real-world activities while developing skills in communication, teamwork, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving.
This is an unpaid internship, and no salary or stipend will be provided. The internship is primarily intended for learning and professional development. BAPSA will provide orientation, on-the-job learning, supervision, office facilities, stationery, and local conveyance where applicable.
The internship will help participants bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace practice, build professional confidence, and gain valuable practical experience that can support their future career development.
Internship Responsibilities
A. Accounts Intern – Dhaka and Chattogram
The Accounts Intern will support the Finance & Administration team in routine financial and administrative activities, including:
Assist in maintaining and organizing financial records and supporting documents.
Assist with recording financial transactions and updating accounting records.
Support preparation and filing of vouchers, bills, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Assist in checking and organizing supporting documents for financial transactions.
Support preparation of timesheets, financial statements, and other routine reports.
Assist with data entry and reconciliation of financial information.
Provide administrative support to the Finance & Administration team as required.
B. Program/Field Intern – Chattogram
The Program/Field Intern will support project implementation and field-level activities, including:
Assist in conducting SRHR awareness and information sessions at the field level.
Support monitoring and documentation of peer educator sessions and activities.
Assist in organizing and facilitating peer educator training and other capacity-building activities.
Support the organization of project meetings, workshops, training sessions, and other events.
Assist project staff in field visits, participant coordination, and activity preparation.
Support collection, compilation, and documentation of field-level activity information and reports.
Assist in preparing session materials, attendance sheets, photographs, and other required documentation.
Support project staff in routine monitoring and follow-up activities.
Perform other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor
