READI-Research Evaluation And Development Initiative, a national NGO, is working for developing the condition and position of target beneficiaries in different districts on different issues including human rights, health hygiene nutrition, education, WASH, climate change, skills and job placement since 2015. READI is now looking for a really deserving candidate for the above position for its head quarter in the core team.

Workplace: Work at office and required need base field visit for data collection.

The Research Associate will be closely working with multi-disciplinary research team of READI and Reportable to Consultant – Research & Evaluation.

Job Context

The Research Associate will be closely working with multi-disciplinary research team of READI for successful implementation of various research activities. She/he will be responsible for undertaking various research tasks, including literature reviews, data collection and analysis, conducting interviews and surveys, and assisting in the preparation of research reports and publications. The position requires a sound background in research methodologies and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. She/he will play a vital role in advancing Research and Evaluation unit of READI.

Major Job Responsibilities

• Collect and review literature as well as having proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection, and analysis techniques using SPSS or STATA;

• Demonstrated experience in conducting research on social science issues;

• Participate in writing and revising reports based on study findings;

• Discuss research findings during dissemination activities;

• Coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders as well as contribute to evidence-based policy advocacy and ability to write sector base quality recommendations

• Provide general support as a team member of research units of READI.

• Travel in and outside Dhaka, if required for data collection or document review;

• Any other assignments or duties related to READI’s research and program monitoring.

• Employment Status: Contractual (Initially 06 Month and possibility to extension with regular staff subject to availability of fund or availability of research project)
