• Experience in RMG sector project implementation is preferable.

• Experience in delivering integrated health and nutrition programme is an asset.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

• Experience in analysis of data and quality reporting.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work effectively in challenging field situations is essential.

• Have project implementation skill and strategic thinking abilities.

• Analytical and technical abilities to work with RMG sector and community level particularly on safe and nutritious food system.

• A dynamic individual with sound interpersonal and communications skills.

READI (Research Evaluation and Development Initiative), a national NGO, is working for developing the condition and position of target participants in different districts on different issues including human rights, health hygiene nutrition, education, WASH, climate change, skills development and employment generation since 2015. In collaboration with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), READI is implementing a project title ‘Strengthening Workers' Access to Pertinent Nutrition Opportunities’ (SWAPNO) and going to recruit the right person for the above position for the project period.

Position Summary

The Project officers of SWAPNO project with the support from GAIN will be responsible to facilitate the quality implementation of the project activities at factory and community level. S/he will directly work with factory management, workers, community people and influential persons, research partner, creative agency, government institutions as well as relevant stakeholder who have similar activities for RMG workers. S/he will support in developing periodical work plans, progress report and review its progress against key performance indicators (KPI) and targets. S/he will regularly support to the Finance team for ensuring necessary supports. The Position will report to the Project Coordinator and maintain functional relationship with the project stakeholders.

Main roles and responsibility:

• Develop periodical plans following the PIP and PP.

• Develop functional relationship and collaboration with the factory management to implement the project activities.

• Regular factory visits to support to the factory management to implement day to day project activities as per periodical work plan.

• Formation of Nutrition Improvement Committee (NIC) as per project strategy and make them functional at factory and community level.

• Based on PIP, revise the periodical activities plan in considering factory’s feasibility.

• Scheduling meeting with factory management and organize capability building event in factory level.

• Develop PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) for conducting regular nutrition education session at factory and community.

• Support to factory to introduce and gradually scale up dietary diversity as per recommended menu plan.

• Support PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) to organize nutrition education session for the workers and community people.

• Distribute communication materials including BCC & IEC to the PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer educator) with proper orientation.

• Facilitate factory owners and management to establish or revitalize Fair Price Shop or Nutrition Centers increase access of safe and nutritious food.

• Regular visit to the Fair Price Shop/Nutrition Centers and track sales trend and take necessary action to meet the target.

• Regular monitor to collect and compile data from factory as per monitoring tools and consolidate.

• Based on criteria facilitate the process to identify best PUSHTI BONDHU (Peer Educator).

• Support to factory management to organize nutrition fair at factory and community.

• Keep communication among the project team and READI’s HQ.

• Reporting as per organization and project requirement.

• Responsible for documenting experiences, preparing reports, presentations, briefs for factory management and donor.
