Education:
    • Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Development Studies
    • Master of Social Science (MSS) in Development Studies
  • The candidate must have bachelor degree / Master Degree in Social Welfare, or any other relevant discipline, preferably a master degree in Disaster Management and Inclusive education, Disaster Management and Development Studies from any reputed university.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in disaster management and climate change programming.

  • Demonstrated experience of working in urban slums or marginalized community with strong field-level engagement.

Responsibilities & Context:

Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet). CB is implementing 88 on-going projects covering 185 Upazilas focusing on eight main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare and Service of Love for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Ecological Conservation, Climate Justice and Sustainable Food System (ECFS), iii) Humanitarian Response and Disaster Management, iv) Education, Skill Development and Employment Creation, v) Health Care, Nutrition and Education, vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples, vii) Integral Human Development and viii) Institutional Development and Sustainability. Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for the post of Regional Monitor (Stronger Together) under Caritas Khulna Region.

Job Context:

Caritas Bangladesh is implementing the project titled “Stronger Together: Strengthening the Capacity and Resilience of Migrants in the Shantytowns of Khulna” for 48 months (Period from January 2025 to December 2028). The project will be implemented in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) to improve the living conditions of four slums’ vulnerable climate migrant residents and their family members through strengthening the capacities and networks of local communities and CBOs to reduce socio-economic vulnerabilities and cope with climate change induced hazards and disasters. The objectives of this project is the selected slum communities have increased their access to and receive services and facilities of local government and non-government institutions to have livelihood options, health care, education, and social safety net programs.

Details of Position:

Position: Regional Monitor (Female will be given priority)

Job Location: Regional Office, 29, Rupsa Strand Road, Khulna-9100.

Reporting to: Regional Director

Job Duration: May 2026 to January 2027 (may be extended subject to the availability of donor’s fund).

Role of Responsibilities:

  • Play a lead role in developing detailed project implementation plan (DIP) for each year and update quarterly;
  • Prepare fund utilization plan (quarterly/six-monthly/yearly) in consultation with the Regional Director, Caritas Khulna Region and update them on utilization of project office and Regional budget of the project.
  • Ensure the optimization of project initiation and execution through effective resource planning and job assignments;
  • Provide high level supervisory and managerial support to the project team for developing their technical skills and professional competencies.
  • Prepare reports for donors on the program outputs, results and objectives of assigned projects as per need.
  • Prepare report/Case study for government bodies, governing bodies of Caritas and Caritas Annual Report in consultation with the Regional Director, Caritas Khulna Region.
  • Responsible for documentation of Project activities including program and financial documents for audit purposes and future references following policy/guidelines.
  • Responsible for collection and preservation of all types of reports, documents (project proposal, project agreement, etc.), important files and papers of assigned projects for future reference.
  • Ensure timely donor reports (programmatic and financial) and donor responses in collaboration with project team and OPDs;
  • Maintain contact, liaison, network and coordination with key relevant stakeholders e.g. community people of project areas/forum/organizations, beneficiaries, community leaders, local and national government officials, and other NGOs with the objective of ensuring good cooperation and partnerships.
  • Prepare monitoring, supervision and different project implementation tools and guideline for smooth operation of project activities.
  • Responsible for Compliance of organizational policies and procedures in implementation of project activities on time and as per plan.
  • Responsible for capacity building of the community people and project staff through organizing different trainings for resource mobilization from government, welfare agencies and other private institutions etc.
  • Undertake regular field visits to the project areas to see the implementation; progress and follow-up the success and challenges of the planned activities as per the project proposal and/or agreement with Donors.
  • Provide regular feedback on performance of project staff members of projects for their improvement/ development.

Travel: This position is based in Khulna with frequent travel throughout Bangladesh.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary Range: Tk. 43,000/- per month (consolidated)

    • Bonus: As per organizational policy
