The Technical Trainer – Consumer Electronics and Repair Services will deliver competency-based training on the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of commonly used consumer electronic devices while ensuring participants acquire practical skills, safety awareness, and customer service competencies.
Deliver competency-based theoretical and practical training through demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and technical assessments.
Develop lesson plans, training schedules, and practical assignments while adapting training approaches for low-literacy participants.
Train participants on the identification, functions, and applications of electronic components, circuits, tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
Provide instruction on electrical and electronic safety standards, troubleshooting methods, and fault diagnosis techniques.
Develop practical skills in repairing and maintaining mobile phone accessories, chargers, rechargeable LED lights, emergency lights, solar lanterns, and solar home system components.
Train participants in the repair and servicing of rechargeable fans, power banks, radios, and other small household electronic devices.
Demonstrate soldering, desoldering, wiring, circuit board repair, battery testing, replacement, and maintenance procedures.
Ensure trainees understand quality testing, preventive maintenance practices, and industry-standard repair procedures to deliver reliable services.
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
