Candidates having prior relevant experience will be preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Strong practical skills in tailoring and garment construction.
Proficiency in pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing.
Knowledge of sewing machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Senior Technical Trainer-Tailoring and Dress Making will be responsible for planning, delivering, supervising, and monitoring technical training on tailoring and dress making for Rohingya participants. The trainer will ensure trainees acquire practical competencies, business awareness, quality production skills, and occupational safety knowledge to support future income-generating activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver competency-based tailoring and dress making training in accordance with approved curriculum and training standards.
Develop detailed lesson plans, practical exercises, demonstrations, and assessments.
Ensure training sessions are participatory, inclusive, and adapted to varying literacy levels.
Conduct orientation sessions on training objectives, discipline, safety, and attendance requirements.
Maintain training schedules and ensure timely completion of all modules.
Provide introduction to tailoring tools alongside Provide hands-on training for the safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of sewing machines.
Provide comprehensive guidance on identifying different fabric types, measurement taking, precise pattern making, and efficient cutting techniques to optimize fabric utilization and minimize waste.
Provide training on dressmaking and full garment assembly, with a specific focus on creating traditional, culturally appropriate clothing. Includes modules on garment alteration and textile repair.
Provide introduction to basic embroidery and decorative stitching to add value to garments, coupled with strict quality control and professional finishing techniques.
Provide practical lessons on cost estimation, material pricing, and production planning to help trainees transition their technical skills into sustainable, small-scale tailoring enterprises.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
