Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is currently implementing 96 projects covering 239 upazilas focusing on eight goals i.e i) Social Welfare and Service of Love for Vulnerable Communities, ii) Ecological Conservation, Climate Justice and Sustainable Food System, iii) Humanitarian Response and Disaster Management, iv) Education, Skill Development and Employment Creation, v) Health Care, Nutrition and Education, vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples, vii) Integral Human Development and viii) Institutional Development and Sustainability.
Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Rajshahi Region, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for immediate appointment to the following positions under the Building Resilient and Inclusive City (BRIC) project.
The details of the positions including key job responsibilities, educational qualification and other qualities /competency required for the above positions are given below for your information.
A. Project Implementation & Management
• Implement project activities in line with project agreement, approved proposal, work plan, logframe, and budget.
• Support the team for development of detailed implementation plan and project implementation.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of project outputs and milestones.
• Manage budgets, resources, and procurement in accordance with organizational policies.
• Monitor day-to-day field activities and ensure adherence to project standards.
• Team Management
• Supervise project staff and ensure clear delegation of responsibilities.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and staff development activities.
B. Technical Support & Quality Assurance
• Lead the development and implementation of project work plans, strategies, and timelines.
• Provide strategic support on protection, climate-resilient housing, WASH infrastructure, livelihood supports, and DRR interventions.
• Coordinate with project engineers and technical teams to ensure quality construction and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with national Climate adaptation policies, standards, environmental sustainability, and donor requirements and gender responsive.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and climate justice
C. Community Engagement & Mobilization
• Support and motivate the team for promoting participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups.
• Support to formation and strengthening community groups/committees.
D. Reporting, Compliance, and Monitoring
• Conduct regular field monitoring and track progress against indicators.
• Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors and the organization
• Document case studies, success stories, lessons learned and best practices of the project.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and environmental/safeguards.
• Manage risks, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions proactively.
E. Financial & Administrative Support
• Support budget tracking and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Assist in procurement processes following organizational and donor guidelines.
• Maintain proper documentation of expenses and field activities.
F. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
• Liaise and collaboration with local government (City Corporation authority), community leaders, Water Development Board, DPHE, Bangladesh Railway, NESCO, civil society, private sector, and donors.
• Coordinate with partners, NGOs, and donor representatives.
• Participate in coordination meetings, workshops, and review sessions.
G. Gender, Safeguarding & Inclusion
• Ensure gender-responsive and inclusive programming across all interventions.
• Promote safe, accessible, and dignified WASH and housing facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and PSEA policies.
• Establish and maintain community feedback and complaint mechanisms (FCRM).
H. Risk Management & Compliance
• Identify operational, environmental, and social risks and support mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations and organizational policies.
• Support adaptive programming in response to climate and urban risks.
7. Safeguarding Responsibilities
• Ensure safety and protection of all programme participants and stakeholders from harm, abuse, and exploitation, including SEA.
• Promote and implement safeguarding policies within the team and project activities.
• Report any safeguarding concerns following organizational procedures.
Salary: BDT 48,000 (Consolidated) per month.
