Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Psychology, Public Health, or a relevant discipline.
Training or professional development in Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), disability development, disability inclusion, or related fields will be considered an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in an NGO/INGO, CBR, disability development, community development, or similar development project.
Practical experience in field-level/community-based project implementation is required and will be given preference.
Experience in coordinating with communities, OPDs, CBOs, local institutions, and other stakeholders will be considered an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong skills in community mobilization and field coordination.
Good understanding of disability-inclusive development, social inclusion, and CBR approaches.
Ability to plan and facilitate training sessions, meetings, workshops, and community-level events.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Bangla, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English for project reporting and documentation.
Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work at the community and field level.
Strong organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.

Duty Station: Dinajpur Sadar, Dinajpur. The position will also require field-level work in Parbatipur, Kaharole, and Biral Upazilas, based on the requirements of the partner organization and project implementation needs.

Justification for Recruitment
Under the MaPInCBR project, the recruitment of a Project Officer is required to ensure effective planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and supervision of project activities at the field level.
The Project Officer will play a key role in ensuring the meaningful participation and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities across the five major domains of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR): Education, Health, Livelihood, Social Inclusion, and Empowerment.
The position will also be responsible for coordinating with persons with disabilities, families, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), local institutions, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective and inclusive implementation of project interventions.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Project Officer will be responsible for the following:
Plan, coordinate, implement, and supervise CBR-based project activities at the field level.
Identify the needs, capacities, priorities, and aspirations of children and youth with disabilities in consultation with relevant stakeholders and ensure appropriate responses.
Facilitate and implement activities to promote the meaningful participation and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities across the five CBR domains: Education, Health, Livelihood, Social Inclusion, and Empowerment.
Establish and maintain effective coordination with persons with disabilities, their families, OPDs, CBOs, local institutions, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Plan and conduct awareness-raising activities, capacity-building sessions, training, meetings, workshops, and other project interventions.
Regularly monitor field-level project activities and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Collect, compile, document, and report project-related information and data in accordance with donor requirements and project reporting standards.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of beneficiary/participant information and records, while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
Identify challenges, barriers, and emerging issues during field-level implementation and take necessary and appropriate measures to address them in consultation with the relevant project management team.
Monitor the progress and effectiveness of actions taken to address identified challenges and report significant issues to the appropriate authority.
Ensure that project activities are implemented in compliance with organizational policies, child protection and safeguarding requirements, disability-inclusive principles, and applicable project guidelines.
Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the organization/project management in support of effective project implementation.
