Experience:

Valid professional registration with the relevant pharmacy authority, where applicable
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in pharmacy, medical warehouse, pharmaceutical inventory, or health supply-chain management.
Gk work experience will be considered as added value.

Experience working with NGOs, UN-funded projects, humanitarian programmes, or health facilities will be an advantage.
Practical knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory systems, FEFO/FIFO, stock reporting, and warehouse procedures.
Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and inventory/database systems.
Good communication, documentation, coordination, and organizational skills·
Compliance with SOPs and donor requirements ·
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Performance Area: Ensuring the right medicine/supply, in the right quantity and quality, is available at the right time and delivered to the respective PHCCs with complete and accurate documentation.

Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and UNHCR have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohyinga crisis in Cox Bazar & Bhasanchar
Job Purpose
The Pharmacist cum Storekeeper will be responsible for the proper management, storage, inventory control, documentation, and timely distribution of medicines, medical supplies, and pharmacy-related commodities from the central warehouse to the project’s Primary Health Care Centres (PHCCs). The position will ensure compliance with standard pharmaceutical storage, stock management, quality assurance, and accountability procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pharmaceutical & Warehouse Management
Receive, inspect, record, store, and issue medicines, medical supplies, and other health commodities.
Ensure appropriate storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, cleanliness, security, and proper arrangement of commodities.
Maintain FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) and FIFO principles as applicable.
Monitor expiry dates, near-expiry items, damaged/expired commodities, and take appropriate action according to organizational procedures.
Ensure proper segregation and labelling of usable, quarantined, damaged, expired, and returned items.
2. Inventory & Stock Control
Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, stock registers, electronic inventory systems, and other relevant documentation.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
Monitor stock levels and identify potential stock-outs, overstocking, and near-expiry risks.
Prepare regular stock reports and inventory updates for management.
Support periodic stock audits and inventory verification.
3. Distribution to PHCCs
Receive and review requisitions from camp PHCCs and prepare medicines and medical supplies for dispatch.
Ensure accurate picking, packing, checking, and documentation before dispatch.
Coordinate timely delivery of commodities to PHCCs based on approved requisitions and distribution schedules.
Maintain proper records of all issues, transfers, returns, and deliveries.
Follow up on acknowledgment/receipt of delivered commodities from respective facilities.
4. Pharmacy & Quality Assurance
Apply professional pharmacy knowledge to ensure the quality, safety, and appropriate handling of medicines and medical supplies.
Verify product names, strength, dosage form, batch/lot numbers, quantities, and expiry dates during receipt and dispatch.
Identify and report suspected damaged, poor-quality, or inappropriate pharmaceutical products.
Ensure compliance with applicable national guidelines, organizational SOPs, and donor requirements.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain complete and up-to-date warehouse and pharmacy documentation.
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports on stock status, consumption, expiry, wastage, and distribution.
Maintain proper documentation for stock adjustment, disposal, returns, and inter-facility transfers.
Support preparation of procurement and replenishment requirements based on consumption and stock status.
6. Warehouse Safety & Compliance
Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, secure, and accessible only to authorized personnel.
Ensure fire safety, pest control, appropriate shelving/palletization, and safe handling of supplies.
Maintain confidentiality and accountability of pharmaceutical and medical commodities
Support internal and external monitoring, audits, and physical inventory assessments.
7. Coordination & Support
Coordinate with PHCC pharmacists, medical teams, logistics, procurement, and programme staff regarding commodity requirements and distribution.
Provide technical guidance to store/warehouse assistants on pharmaceutical storage and stock management.
Support emergency preparedness by maintaining adequate buffer stocks of essential medicines and medical supplies.

Carry out any additional assignments per her/his position entrusted with the GK Management from time to time and mutually agreed upon.
