• Minimum 02 years of work experience in midwifery services

• Must be registered and license under BNMC

• At least 40 NVD conducted

• Good communication Skills.

• Proficiency in English

Job Context:

The main role of this position will be to work as a member of technical team and teach the students of “Diploma in Midwifery” and “Diploma in Nursing science & Midwifery” Education Program at FIVDB Nursing & Midwifery Institute for quality implementation of the Midwifery Education Program according to the set standards and curriculum. This position will closely facilitate and observe the quality of practice at the clinical practice site, clinic, and hospital or in any other settings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work as a part of the Nursing and Midwifery Education Team (NMET)

• Conduct theoretical classes according to the approved curriculum, lesson plan and academic calendar.

• Demonstrate and supervise essential midwifery skills through skills-lab and simulation-based teaching.

• Build the skills of the students in term of normal vaginal delivery.

• Orients students to the clinical sites, interaction with clients and identify gaps in service delivery

• Accompany students to the clinical/hospital when they are placed for clinical practices for midwifery practice. This placement includes night shift.

• Supervise students during clinical placement and assess their clinical competencies and professional performance.

• Conduct and evaluate written examinations, OSCE/OSPE, viva and clinical assessments.

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, examination questions and assessment tools.

• Maintain students’ attendance, competency records and academic documents.

• Provide academic guidance, mentoring and constructive feedback to students.

• Collaborate with faculty members and clinical facilities to ensure quality clinical education.

• Participate in academic meetings, quality improvement, CPD and professional development activities.

• Travel to Dhaka is required when necessary for official duties, meetings, or other organizational activities.

• Perform other academic and professional duties assigned by the authority.
