Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Masters in any discipline.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sourcing knit/ woven Fabrics from different manufacturing sectors
∎ Coordinating with suppliers for final delivery of the fabric
∎ Monitoring fabrics developing , production & quality from the suppliers
∎ working on fabric specifications
∎ Good in personal & sourcing skills
∎ Good understanding of woven fabric, costing , color , dying, printing & finishing
∎ Design & implement an efficient and cost effective fabric sourcing mechanism
∎ Keep abreast with knowledge of latest developments in fabrics for mass production
∎ Establish and drive fabric supplier management program within the organization with an aim to achieve the following:
∎ Develop existing supplier base and help them scale up with a view to establish a long term relationship
∎ Evaluate performance of existing supplier base with respect to on time delivery as well as compliance with quality standards
∎ Engage new suppliers as and when required
∎ Placing orders with various vendors as per requirement handed over by the production merchandiser
∎ Ensuring quality requirements are met in tandem with quality team
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge & experience in apparel manufacturing and retail
∎ Up to date with the latest fabric and sustainability trends, best practices, and textile processes - spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing. Understanding of print techniques, cost & capabilities.
∎ Ability to build clear, confident, positive communication with company colleagues and suppliers with the ability to form relationships, influence, and work collaboratively across the business
∎ 3D technology skills and experience will be a added advantage
∎ Good interpersonal, influencing, listening, organizational, presentation and decision-making skills
∎ Self-motivated and able to work under pressure, quickly and efficiently
∎ Excellent communication skills & fluent in English – written & verbal
∎ Good time management
