Job Responsibilities:
∎ Know fabrics, it is defect & remedies.
∎ Working with designers to make sure the design suits production methods and amends designs where necessary.
∎ Finding, choosing, and buying suitable fabrics and accessories.
∎ Capable of making pattern, planning the sizes, and making up of garments.
∎ Knowledge of garment production methods, know machines type, adjustment & recommendation.
∎ Checking and approving sample garments, L/D and bulk cuttings and making any changes needed, including correcting faults.
∎ Creating products in response to given briefs. Evaluating, identifying and selecting fabrics/products from suppliers
∎ Ensuring that products meet set requirements, specifications (color, fastness, durability etc.) suitability and testing for performance under various conditions and maintain and quality standards.
∎ Recommend fabric construction changes and/or finishing to achieve required hand feel as well as passing test results.
∎ Creating & managing fabric libraries, both physical & digital.
∎ Oversee a short sample run and monitor-the quality of weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing- for potential problems within the capabilities of machinery, costing, and the capabilities of the fabric.
∎ Sound knowledge on any kind of fabric processing, composition, construction, and chemical management as well as capable of solving technical problem of dyeing, printing, washing, fabrics, and yarn.
∎ Conduct Fabric & Garment Pre-Production meeting.

∎ Knowledge of local and foreign fabric mills a PLUS.
