Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering

Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have good experience in Arc furnace operations.
∎ To be well versed with foamy slag practice, carbon injection and RCB/Burner operations.
∎ Furnace maintenance activity like furnace fettling, gunning and lining inspection.
∎ Should have knowledge/skill/experience in scrap segregation/shearing and distribution as per recipe.
∎ Should have experience in bulk material and ferro alloys handling.
∎ Should have experience in Dry type GCP/dedusting system.
∎ Calibration of scrap cars, ladle cars and bulk materials weight measuring equipment’s.
∎ Should have experience in 3 shifts manpower handling.
∎ Ensure cost effective and energy efficient production processes for different grade & quality of steel at LRF.
∎ Ensure Technological Improvement in LRF. Ensure Super heat control. Ensure de-sulphurization while processing heat at LRF secondary metallurgical treatment.
∎ Study the technical feasibility and analyze the production & cost benefits of implementing latest processes, technologies & equipment in Steel Melt Shop.
∎ Interaction with the technology suppliers & vendors engaged in LRF and ensure improvement in productivity of the vendor.
∎ Maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
∎ Develop reportees by providing them appropriate training and coaching opportunities.
∎ Monitoring process failure with Root Cause Analysis and their corrective & preventive measures for quality improvement.
∎ Technical analysis of the process parameters to enhance the productivity and reduce the cost of production.
