Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the garment, textile, or manufacturing industry (preferred).

  • Sound understanding of labor laws, worker welfare practices, and compliance standards.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with both management and worker representatives.

  • Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and email communication.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and compassionate Welfare Officer to join our team. Key Responsibilities

  • Encourage and support the formation of workers’ unions, welfare committees, cooperative societies, and joint manufacturing committees, and supervise their activities.

  • Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of worker facilities, including canteen, waiting areas, childcare center, toilets, and safe drinking water.

  • Assist workers in applying for paid leave and inform them about leave policies and other employment regulations.

  • Work to improve the working and living conditions of employees and recommend welfare initiatives for their well-being.

  • Advise management on arranging training for new workers and encourage employees to enhance their education and technical skills through relevant programs.

  • Provide guidance to both workers and management to ensure proper implementation of company rules and labor regulations.

  • Coordinate with medical officers and factory authorities to ensure workers receive adequate healthcare and medical support.

  • Take proactive steps to strengthen communication and mutual understanding between workers and management.

  • Listen to workers’ concerns, provide counseling and motivation, and facilitate constructive discussions on employment conditions.

  • Arrange regular meetings and dialogue between management and workers to maintain a cooperative and harmonious workplace environment.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Work Environment & Conditions

  • Full-time position based at our manufacturing facility in Cumilla EPZ.

  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required during peak production or compliance activities.
