Experience:
Masters, preferable in Agriculture. Academic qualification is relaxed for experienced female candidates.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar position, with a strong focus on food security and livelihood programming in coastal regions of Bangladesh.
Prior experience in homestead food production, climate-smart agriculture, cash transfer programming and Cash for Work (CfW) interventions within both development and humanitarian contexts is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in coordination and collaboration with government officials, NGOs, private sector actors, and community-based organizations.
Team building capacity
Strong facilitation and supervision skills to guide field staff and volunteers effectively.
Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Respect on gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
Committed on response in any humanitarian emergency if necessary
Able to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike driving license
Able to operate virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
Lead vulnerability assessments to identify food-insecure and highly vulnerable households in the project location.
Identify eligible households for Multi-purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), support documentation, collect e-money account details, and facilitate timely cash disbursement.
Design and manage Cash for Work (CfW) schemes in coordination with local authorities and at-risk communities.
Oversee the implementation of CfW initiatives and ensure compliance with project guidelines and timely disbursement of cash support.
Assess household needs and coordinate the distribution of agricultural inputs such as seeds, organic fertilizers, feed, and tools.
Conduct training for women, men, and youth on climate-smart homestead gardening, food production, preservation, and processing to enhance household food availability.
Build the capacity of agricultural service providers on early warning systems and disaster risk mitigation to maintain food production and supply chains.
Supervise Community Facilitators and youth volunteers to identify project clients and ensure their effective participation and engagement in project activities.
Collaborate with public and private service providers to strengthen referral mechanisms for essential services and food security support.
Conduct training for targeted households on nutrition, disaster preparedness, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, and equitable intra-household food distribution.
Strengthen and build the capacity of youth groups to support forecast-based early actions to mitigate food insecurity risks.
Organize and facilitate regular coordination meetings with sub-district and district-level government departments, NGOs, and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and share progress.
Promote and ensure client awareness of the Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) using IEC materials and gather feedback through preferred communication channels.
Prepare and submit periodic reports, success stories, and updates to the Project Coordinator.
Capture lessons learned, document best practices, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the project team.
Prepare and deliver presentations on project progress, challenges, and achievements to Upazila-level stakeholders.
Facilitate project-related training, monthly team coordination meetings, and quarterly review meetings at the Upazila level.
