Responsibilities & Context:

  • S/he is the key person of the project implementation at respective Upazila level and reportable to Project Coordinator of Shushilan.

  • S/he manages the Upazila team and implementation of planned activities as well as control all resources under the guidance of Project Coordinator.

  • Ensure the planning & implementation at ward, union and upazila level.

  • Field visit, monitoring and evaluation the upazila level activities.

  • Supervise the Community Facilitator at his/her disposal.

  • Attend upazila/district coordination meetings and another networking meeting at the upazila/district level.

  • Conduct different assessments, surveys, meetings, and workshop

  • Guide, coach, mentor, supervise, and appraise the Community Facilitators.

  • Ensure quantitative & qualitative work at the field level.

  • Facilitate to organize training, monthly meetings, and quarterly review meetings of the project.

  • Lead vulnerability and needs assessments to identify highly vulnerable and food-insecure households.

  • Identify beneficiaries for Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA), support documentation, and facilitate timely disbursement.

  • Design and implement Cash for Work (CFW) schemes in collaboration with communities and local authorities.

  • Oversee the timely and quality implementation of CFW and ensure compliance with project guidelines.

  • Coordinate the distribution of agricultural inputs including seeds, organic fertilizers, feed, and tools.

  • Organize training on climate-smart homestead gardening, food production, preservation, and processing.

  • Build the capacity of local agricultural service providers on early warning and disaster preparedness.

  • Promote sustainable practices to maintain food production during climate and disaster shocks.

  • Lead the activities related to reduce gender-based violence (GBV), child wellness, women empowerment in the project areas.

  • Oversight and implementation of SRH, in particular: Basic Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (BEmONC), Antenatal Care and Postnatal Care, Counselling and provision of Family Planning (short acting & long acting reversible contraceptive), Syndromic Management of STIs, Post Abortion Care and Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors, Menstrual regulation services.

  • Strengthen the capacity of community groups, youth volunteers, and households on nutrition, DRR, GBV prevention, and food security.

  • Facilitate training, monthly staff meetings, community meetings, and quarterly project reviews.

  • Support youth-led early warning and forecast-based early action initiatives in the community.
