    • Masters
  • Master’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, Anthropology, Education, Development Studies, or other relevant disciplines from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with specialized training in instructional design, adult learning, training facilitation, or human resource development.

  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in training and capacity building within national or international NGOs or development agencies. Proven experience in creating and implementing inclusive training programs, especially for women, youth, and marginalized communities.

Responsibilities & Context:
  • Training and Capacity Building Specialist will be responsible to Project Head;

  • Have at least 12 years of relevant experience in planning, managing, and facilitating training programs, preferably in the development sector.

  • Lead the planning, management, and facilitation of training, orientation, and capacity-building activities for all project stakeholders, including partner organizations, government officials, community members, and youth groups.

  • Develop and customize training manuals and guidelines for service providers, implementing staff, contractors, youth groups, community groups, employers, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure inclusive training approaches with special attention to female and marginalized youth, focusing on employability, skills development, and social inclusion.

  • Provide technical support in mainstreaming the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) into training modules and project activities.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Promote participatory learning methodologies to ensure active engagement and knowledge retention among diverse participants.

  • Identify training needs through field assessments, consultations with stakeholders, and review of project objectives.

  • Coordinate with technical teams to align training content with project goals and donor requirements.

  • Support the development and implementation of Training of Trainers (ToT) programs to build local capacity.

  • Maintain a database of all training activities, including participant profiles, feedback, and training outcomes.

  • Prepare periodic training reports, success stories, and lessons learned for internal documentation and donor reporting.

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and follow-up mentoring for trainees to reinforce learning outcomes.

  • Ensure all training materials are gender-sensitive, culturally appropriate, and easy to understand for diverse groups.

  • Work closely with M&E teams to incorporate training-related indicators into project monitoring frameworks.

  • Coordinate logistics, venues, materials, and resource persons required for successful training events.
