Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic (15%):
∎
∎ Ensure institutional / organizational strategy development:
∎
∎ on behalf of UCEP Bangladesh management & ED's office, lead the process to develop UCEP Bangladesh's Business Plan & goals and to ensure its promotion and implementation within UCEP Bangladesh and among all its stakeholders.
∎ establish and maintain liaison with relevant stakeholders as necessary at regional, national and international levels.
∎ contribute to ensuring timely development, necessary upgradation and effective implementation of relevant policies, manuals, UCEP Bangladesh's 2016-2025 Strategy, annual plans, business goals etc.
∎ spearhead the 'Road Map for Growth and Sustainability' initiative for UCEP Bangladesh and ensure its effective implementation.
∎ Develop, maintain necessary business plans, funding and technical proposals, reports, tender documents, concept notes, budgets, reports, FD6 and other materials as required for UCEP Bangladesh, provide necessary guidance to its entities at central and regional levels and ensure effective implementation securing timely approvals in relevant cases/areas.
∎ systematically explore, review relevant information, news, documents, research reports from government, private sector, development partners, research and academic agencies etc. to keep ED, SMT, RMT and departments updated with necessary information, data and intelligence on a regular basis.
∎ ensure knowledge sharing, policy advocacy on operational, tactical, strategic issues of UCEP Bangladesh under the guidance of supervisor.

∎ Operational: (45%): Play a lead and proactive role to:

∎ Ensure effective and efficient internal and external communication:
∎
∎ ensure development (both in English and Bangla) and effective implementation of communication strategy, guidelines, tools and mechanisms of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ Regularly organize intra and inter departmental meetings for sharing the project/program objectives, deliverable so that constructive synergy can be achieved employing collective resources and minimizing duplication of operations and wastes
∎ play a lead role to ensure knowledge sharing and establish common understanding among students and staff at central and regional levels about UCEP Bangladesh's policies, procedures and guidelines etc. by developing and disseminating popular versions of relevant documents as and when necessary.
∎ develop qualitative and effective communication materials (print and electronic media, verbal etc.), both in English and Bangla (including appropriate and correct use of language) and effectively disseminate
∎ establish mechanisms for reviewing and regular upgradation of digital and non-digital communication materials and ensure their subsequent and due preservation.
∎ ensure development of guidelines and ensure necessary dissemination to internal and external stakeholders for branding, strategic alliances, marketing and fundraising.
∎ write and edit clear and compelling media advisories and press releases that avoid jargon and cliché, and ensure regular media coverage as required.
∎ act as the key Information Officer on behalf of UCEP Bangladesh maintaining organizational protocols of UCEP Bangladesh and external agencies.
∎ ensure development and availability of popular versions of key documents for creating common understanding through proper dissemination, necessary orientation and update of staff on these at HO and regional levels of UCEP Bangladesh and all its entities.
∎ write and encourage others to regularly write posts/updates/op-eds/blogs and regularly update and maintain, including providing and regulating contents (text, photos, design etc.) for websites of UCEP Bangladesh and its entities, social media (Facebook, twitter, YouTube, relevant blogs, op-eds etc.).
∎ ensure regularly updated stock of diverse stories (both in Bengali and English) and high quality photos of all services, projects, pilots and program events
∎ ensure development and maintenance of databases of high quality photograph, videos, case studies etc. following professional standards.
∎ ensure timely & quality publication of annual and general reports, researches/studies, documents, policies, newsletters, press briefing, communication materials etc. of UCEP Bangladesh and its entities both in print and electronic media.
∎ ensure that all departments and regions liaising with partners/donors have all communication materials in place on time;
∎ function as doorkeeper of quality of all communication materials etc. of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ strengthen image, credibility and goodwill of UCEP Bangladesh and all its entities at national and international level
∎ establish effective communication mechanism, capacity and teams/focal points at regional levels
∎ function as quality controller for documents for CEO's office and of other departments and regions as required and requested.

∎ Ensure effective and efficient branding:

∎ ensure development (both in English and Bangla) and effective implementation of branding strategy, guidelines, tools and mechanisms of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ develop, promote and protect UCEP Bangladesh's interest nationally and internationally.
∎ develop and promote new branding of UCEP Bangladesh's Social Enterprises in collaboration with Social Enterprise Development team.
∎ establish effective branding mechanisms, capacity and teams/focal points at regional levels
∎ coordinate with marketing agencies and other relevant stakeholders
∎ managing all aspects of the brand through the supply chain both tangible and intangible.
∎ analyzing the brand and current strategy and highlighting areas of weaknesses or conflicting/contradictory messages.
∎ creating a brand plan and brand strategy and ensuring all aspects of the product or companies marketing and activities align with the ethos and goals of the brand.
∎ sourcing suppliers and products that fit with the context of the brand.
∎ creating an enduring brand message that results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improving market share.
∎ championing the brand internally and externally making sure all elements of the company understand the brand and its goals.
∎ working closely with all departments and regions to ensure commercial goals of the brand/strategic objectives of the organization are met.
∎ developing and sustaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
∎ playing a key part in buying, sourcing and manufacturing of the brands products and ensuring all aspects of the supply chain align with the brand.
∎ Undertake gradual initiatives for vertical and horizontal integration of product/service lines/supply chain etc.
∎ developing high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
∎ realistic forecasting of sales and volume for the brand in order to ensure that all entities of UCEP Bangladesh at central and regional levels are geared accordingly.
∎ presenting the brand strategy to SMT and other relevant teams at internal meetings and conferences as required and requested.
∎ managing external agencies and ensuring marketing budgets are met securing timely approval by the management.
∎ seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the organization's nature, brand and maximizing all opportunities for growth.

∎ Following management approval, ensure effective and efficient marketing:

∎ ensure development (both in English and Bangla) and effective implementation of marketing strategy, guidelines, tools and mechanisms of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ identify, develop, and evaluate marketing initiatives, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, cost and markup factors.
∎ formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
∎ evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
∎ network with media to explore subsidized / free airtime on TV Channels, radio as well as in the print media etc.
∎ establish effective marketing mechanism, capacity and teams/focal points at regional levels
∎ develop pricing strategies, balancing UCEP Bangladesh's values, vision, mission, goals and customer satisfaction.
∎ Assist management or represent the organization in negotiating contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies.
∎ consult with product development personnel on product specifications such as design, color, and packaging
∎ compile lists describing product or service offerings.
∎ use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
∎ Undertake necessary initiatives for showcasing/exhibiting products/services at different promotional programs .
∎ confer with legal staff to avoid or resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.
∎ coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
∎ Guide, advise relevant teams and departments on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of products and services.
∎ initiate necessary market research studies, analyze their findings and use for decision making & development
∎ consult regularly with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
∎ Undertake research and development initiatives to bring in product/service differentiation, cost leadership, market segmentation, positioning/diversification etc.
∎ conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products and services.
∎ studying competitors' products and services and assisting management in devising appropriate action plans/course of action.
∎ exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability
∎ identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.

∎
∎ plan, set up and make functional necessary teams at central and regional levels to ensure effective communication, branding, marketing, fundraising, partnership and strategy development functions of UCEP Bangladesh
∎ Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
∎ develop corporate identity and team cohesion among staff.
∎ support development and updates of Job Descriptions, KPIs, MoVs etc. of Programme & Innovations department staff and necessary working tools (Annual Plans and Budgets etc).
∎ ensure development and retaining of internal technical resource pool of UCEP Bangladesh at central and regional levels
∎ ensure staff have relevant Job Descriptions and necessary working tools (Annual Objectives and Work Plan etc), maintenance of task distribution, collaboration and coordination within and among departments, within and among HO and regional offices of UCEP Bangladesh and all its entities.
∎ ensure effective management of staff, consultants and project staff.
∎ develop and maintain a professional pay (including grade, salary and benefits
∎ ensure timely management of 360-degree staff appraisal, quality control and career development of team.
∎ ensure systematic and effective delegation and decentralization of tasks.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years

∎ Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent computer operating skill & conversant with MS Office package, CRM software, graphics design, social media management, relevant product development software, tools etc.
∎ Demonstrated experience of successful fundraising for a large organization.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
