  • Masterʼs degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related field from any public or reputed private universities.
  • Additional certification in Sustainability, Human Rights or Monitoring and Evaluation are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Responsible Business Conduct (RBC), sustainability, ethical business conduct, HRDD or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of global RBC principles, including sustainability, labor rights, and ethical sourcing.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for research and data analysis.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of relevant RBC frameworks (e.g., UN Global Compact, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, ILO Conventions).
  • Familiarity with environmental and social sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI, CDP, SASB standards).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Bangla.


Responsibilities & Context:

Job Overview:

The Responsible Team Member of the Business Conduct (RBC) Cell will support the promotion and implementation of responsible business practices within LFMEAB member factories, with a strong focus on sustainability, ethical operations, and compliance with international standards. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, member organizations, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

Workplace: LFMEAB Head Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluating factory performance on ESG, RBC, HREDD through data collection.
  • Support the implementation of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) strategies within LFMEAB’s operations and throughout the supply chain of its member organizations.
  • Monitor adherence to global best practices in business conduct, including anti-corruption measures, labor rights, environmental sustainability, and community engagement.
  • Regularly assess the organization's compliance with RBC guidelines and prepare detailed reports and assessments on LFMEAB’s adherence to ESG principles, sustainability measures, and responsible sourcing policies.
  • Coordinate capacity building programs/training on RBC, HRDD for member factories and facilitate dialogue sessions, workshops, and consultations to promote the importance of RBC and share best practices across the industry.
  • Maintaining liaison between the RBC Cell and relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, donor agencies, private sector, and prepare comprehensive reports as necessary.
  • Records keeping of RBC activities, including audits, assessments, and corrective actions.
