Experience:
Master's degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related field from any public or reputed private universities.
At least 7-10 years of experience in research or related fields, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in research methodology, data analysis, and report writing.
Proven expertise in policy analysis, reporting, and providing sector-specific recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Bangla.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for research and data analysis.
Job Overview
Key roles of the Head of Research and Policy include research and analysis, playing the role of focal point of contact for policy-related coordination, writing reports and preparing presentations, developing evidence-based concept papers and informed position statements, drafting briefings, and writing policy letters, while maintaining liaison with various government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Research and prepare presentations, research papers, reports, and speeches on all areas handled by the association.
Writing both Bangla and English letters and speech drafts to and for concerned public and private stakeholders to serve the association's interests.
Studying trade documents, laws, SROS, etc., and researching sector-related SRO and FE circulars issued by NBR and Bangladesh Bank.
Maintaining international communication and collecting information from the media.
Analysis and report preparation on the export-import market trend of leathergoods and footwear sector.
Monitoring daily Bengali & English print media and sector-related publications.
Web content, features, and related news development for the knowledge & resource center (KRC), an online window of LFMEAB, and supervising KRC.
