Experience:
Minimum B.Sc. in Engineering from any reputable university/ institute. Candidates with a B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Civil, or Industrial Production Engineering will be given preference.
Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in a reputable Polytechnic institute/organization, including at least 05 (five) years of experience in a Chief Instructor/Head of TVET Institute position, or at least 02 years of experience in a Vice-Principal position.
Required Age: Age limit would be maximum 45 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications and experience.
Others:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla, ensuring clear and effective communication with students and colleagues.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player, able to collaborate effectively within the department and the school.

Job Location: UIST-Mirpur 2, Dhaka and AKKUPI–Chattogram/ Anywhere in Bangladesh
Job Purpose: The Vice Principal provides strategic, operational and people-management leadership to ensure quality technical education, institutional sustainability, compliance with regulatory standards, and strong industry linkages. The role upholds the Vision, Mission and Values of UCEP Bangladesh while driving institutional growth, innovation, and service excellence.
Core Jobs Responsibilities:
A. Strategic:
Strengthen the identity, credibility and goodwill of UIST/ AKKUPI, ensuring alignment with UCEP Bangladesh’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Develop and implement Business Plans, revenue-generation models, marketing and fundraising strategies to ensure sustainability.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with BTEB, government bodies, industry, private sector, academic institutions and accreditation agencies.
Lead regulatory compliance, including BTEB rules, GoB guidelines, RTO/RPL registrations and national/international accreditations.
Strengthen social media presence and digital marketing for admissions and partnerships. Represent the institute in national and international forums.
Create an active alumni association for mentorship, fundraising, and placement support. Organize annual alumni meets and industry networking events.
B. Operational Management:
Lead annual operational planning, implementation of policies, work plans, and ensure adherence to UCEP Bangladesh standards.
Ensure high-quality teaching-learning processes, curriculum development, CBT/CBA standards, and effective academic supervision.
Oversee student enrolment, assessment, certification, discipline and dropout prevention in line with UIST/AKKUPI targets.
Manage budget, finance, audits, procurement and asset/inventory systems ensuring transparency and value for money.
Introduce and maintain automated systems for MIS, HR, finance, access control, job portal, M&E and reporting.
Ensure readiness and maintenance of infrastructure, workshops, equipment, library and all learning facilities.
Conduct market surveys and develop fee-based training packages; strengthen industry linkage for industrial attachment and apprenticeship.
Ensure safeguarding, gender equity, inclusion, decent work, safety and a secure learning environment.
Drive adoption of e-learning platforms, blended learning models, and digital tools for teaching and administration. Implement cybersecurity protocols and data privacy compliance.
Introduce courses and training aligned with AI, IoT, robotics, renewable energy, and smart manufacturing. Build partnerships with tech companies for advanced labs and certifications.
Establish incubation centers for student startups. Facilitate hackathons, innovation challenges, and patent support.
Implement energy-efficient infrastructure and waste management systems. Introduce sustainability-focused curricula and projects.
Use analytics for student performance tracking, dropout prediction, and resource optimization. Implement dashboards for real-time monitoring of academic and operational KPIs.
C. People Management:
Recruit, supervise and develop staff; ensure effective performance management, coaching, mentoring and a positive organizational culture.
Maintain effective communication with staff, students, parents and stakeholders for smooth operations and service delivery.
Prepare and submit reports, proposals, business plans and research outputs; represent UIST/AKKUPI in relevant meetings, events and forums.
