Education and other Requirements:
• 5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the Primary and Secondary level (Classes 1–8) under the national curriculum is preferred.
• Experience teaching Classes 9 & 10 will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education or any relevant discipline.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Mathematics or B.Ed./PGD in Education.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla.
• Proficiency in basic ICT tools for teaching and content preparation.
• Patience, adaptability and a passion for teaching mathematics to young learners.
• Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and in an underprivileged setting.

Job Summary:
Muslim Hands is a UK-registered international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 in response to the Bosnian crisis. Since then, it has grown into a global humanitarian organization delivering emergency aid and long-term development programs in over 32 countries.
Muslim Hands has been operating in Bangladesh since 1995, focusing on improving the lives of vulnerable communities through interventions in Education, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods, Shelter, WASH, Religious Infrastructure and Emergency Relief.
Muslim Hands Model School, Dhaka, a part of our Education Programme, is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher (General – Math) to join our academic team. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing mathematical skills and critical thinking among students from Classes 1 to 8 based on the National Curriculum of Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery & Lesson Planning:
• Prepare and deliver engaging math lessons plan to various primary and secondary class levels following NCTB guidelines.
• Use practical examples, visual aids and problem-solving techniques to enhance understanding of mathematical concepts.
Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
• Conduct regular quizzes, class tests, assignments and term exams to monitor student progress.
• Maintain academic records and communicate feedback to parents and the school administration.
Classroom & Student Management:
• Ensure a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and logical reasoning.
• Provide extra support to students struggling with math through remedial or group sessions.
Child-Friendly Learning Approach:
• Foster a student-centered learning atmosphere that nurtures confidence, discipline and independent thinking.
• Promote mathematical literacy through activities, games and real-life applications.
Professional Development & Collaboration:
• Collaborate with other teachers in lesson planning and academic coordination.
• Actively participate in teacher development programs, workshops and school functions.
Safeguarding & Ethics:
• Uphold ethical behavior and maintain child protection standards.
