Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management
Identify and Evaluate Suppliers: Research potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings, and select the best options based on quality, cost, reliability, and service.
Negotiate Contracts: Conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and manage any issues that arise.
Purchasing and Ordering
Create Purchase Orders: Generate and process purchase orders based on organizational needs and budget constraints.
Monitor Order Status: Track the status of orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any delays or issues.
Manage Inventory Levels: Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet operational requirements without overstocking.
Cost Management and Budgeting
Control Costs: Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, volume purchasing, and supplier negotiations.
Budgeting: Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring expenditures align with financial goals and constraints.
Analyze Spending: Monitor and analyze spending patterns to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Mitigate Risks: Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, financial instability of suppliers, or geopolitical issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide reports to management as needed.
Process Improvement and Innovation
Improve Processes: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
Implement Technology: Leverage technology and procurement software to streamline operations and improve data management.
Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and support sustainability initiatives in procurement to promote environmentally responsible practices.
Team Management and Development
Lead and Mentor: Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, logistics) to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives.
Strategic Planning
Develop Procurement Strategies: Create and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization`s overall business strategy.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
Long-term Planning: Develop long-term plans for procurement to support the organization’s growth and sustainability objectives.
Salary review after successful completion of probationary period along with guaranteed allowance of BDT 4,000.
