The Strategic Investments & Business Development (SIBD) Manager is responsible for driving ACI's growth agenda through disciplined evaluation of new businesses, joint ventures, partnerships, and expansion initiatives. This role will combine financial modeling, market intelligence, commercial evaluation, and strategic structuring to ensure informed capital allocation decisions across ACI's diversified portfolio of 38+ businesses.
What You Will Do
Identify new business opportunities aligned with Group strategy and long-term growth priorities.
Conduct market sizing, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
Evaluate adjacencies, diversification opportunities, and emerging sectors.
Develop structured screening frameworks to prioritize initiatives.
Build detailed financial models covering revenue projections, cost structure, capex, and funding requirements.
Conduct NPV, IRR, payback, and sensitivity analysis.
Assess profitability, breakeven, scalability, and capital intensity
Evaluate JV structures, including equity participation, governance, and risk-sharing models.
Assess partner capability, strategic alignment, and long-term value potential.
Lead commercial and financial due diligence processes.
Identify operational, regulatory, and market risks.
Track approved investments against projected business case.
Monitor ROI realization and performance deviations.
Maintain a structured growth pipeline tracker for leadership visibility.
What You Bring
Strong financial modelling and valuation capability.
Deep understanding of capital budgeting and investment appraisal.
Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
Ability to convert complex analysis into clear executive-level presentations.
Strong commercial judgement.
Experience in diversified conglomerate, corporate finance, or strategy consulting.
Exposure to M&A, JV structuring, or strategic partnerships.
