Experience:
· Store Operations Management
Oversee the overall daily operations of the store and ensure that all activities are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and according to company policies and procedures.
· Inventory and Stock Control
Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, identify fast-moving and slow-moving products, and ensure timely replenishment of medicines and departmental items.
· Medicine and Product Expiry Monitoring
Regularly check the expiry dates of medicines and other products, separate near-expiry or expired items, and take appropriate action to reduce wastage and financial loss.
· Customer Service Management
Ensure that customers receive professional, friendly, and timely service. Handle customer complaints, inquiries, returns, and service-related issues effectively.
· Cash and Financial Record Management
Monitor billing, cash handling, daily collections, refunds, expenses, and cash reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
· Product Display and Store Maintenance
Ensure that medicines, healthcare products, personal care items, baby care products, and departmental goods are properly arranged, clearly priced, and attractively displayed. Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
· Supplier and Purchase Coordination
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding product orders, availability, pricing, delivery schedules, shortages, damaged products, and incorrect deliveries.
· Regulatory and Pharmacy Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable drug regulations, pharmacy requirements, trade licence conditions, health and safety standards, and company policies.
· Prescription and Medicine-Control Procedures
Ensure proper handling of prescription medicines, restricted products, returned medicines, damaged stock, and expired medicines. Confirm that medicines are dispensed only by authorized and qualified personnel.
· Temperature and Storage Monitoring
Ensure that medicines and sensitive healthcare products are stored under the required temperature, humidity, and safety conditions. Monitor refrigerators, storage areas, and cold-chain records regularly.
· Loss Prevention and Store Security
Monitor CCTV, cash transactions, stock movement, theft, unauthorized access, and inventory discrepancies to minimize financial and product losses.
· Staff Training and Performance Evaluation
Train employees on customer service, product knowledge, POS operation, inventory procedures, hygiene, safety, and company policies. Evaluate staff performance and provide necessary guidance.
· Opening and Closing Procedures
Ensure proper store opening and closing, including cash verification, security checks, system inspection, stockroom control, and shift handover documentation.
· Audit and Physical Stock Verification
Conduct regular physical stock counts, investigate inventory mismatches, support internal and external audits, and take corrective action when necessary.
· Reporting and Documentation
Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to sales, cash, inventory, expenses, staff performance, customer complaints, and store operations.
· Emergency and Incident Management
Handle accidents, customer disputes, product recalls, system failures, safety incidents, and other emergencies professionally. Report serious incidents to management without delay.
· Store Hygiene and Safety
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for customers and employees. Ensure that fire safety equipment, emergency exits, and first-aid arrangements are properly maintained.
· Management Coordination
Communicate regularly with senior management regarding operational performance, sales results, staffing needs, stock issues, customer feedback, and improvement plans.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Pharmacy, or a related field.
· Minimum 6 years of experience in retail, pharmacy, supermarket, or store management.
· Strong leadership, team supervision, and communication skills.
· Good knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and expiry management.
· Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and sales reporting.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
· Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
· Must be honest, organized, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
· Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
· Pharmacy or medicine-store experience will be preferred.
