Strong knowledge of sweater knitting, gauges, stitches, yarn, and linking.Ability to read and interpret buyer tech packs.Knowledge of fitting, measurements, and garment construction.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email).
Responsibilities & Context:
Understand buyer tech packs, design sheets, and comments.
Develop prototype, fit, size-set, PP (pre-production), and shipment samples.
Check garment measurements, fitting, construction, and workmanship.
Ensure samples meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with merchandisers, pattern makers, and production teams.
Identify technical issues during sample development and provide solutions.
Calculate yarn consumption and assist with costing when required.
Prepare technical comments and maintain sample records.
Support factory technicians during sample approval and bulk production.
