We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Merchandiser – Denim to join our dynamic team. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and proven ability to manage complex denim programs for international buyers. If you have extensive experience in denim apparel sourcing, production management, and buyer communication, this is your chance to lead and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Order & Critical Path Management

• Lead the end-to-end merchandising process for denim orders.

• Develop, monitor, and enforce T&A (Time & Action) plans to ensure deadlines are consistently met.

• Anticipate risks and implement corrective actions proactively.

2. Buyer & Supplier Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary liaison for buyers, suppliers, and factories.

• Maintain strong, professional communication to ensure smooth execution of orders.

• Confidently manage international denim clients, including EU/UK fast fashion and mid-tier brands.

3. Leadership & Accountability

• Take full responsibility for denim programs from development to shipment.

• Ensure 100% on-time delivery and compliance with buyer requirements.

• Mentor and guide junior merchandisers to build team capability.

4. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making

• Resolve production delays, wash/finishing challenges, and quality issues effectively.

• Make practical, timely decisions under pressure to safeguard delivery commitments.

5. Quality & Approval Oversight

• Supervise all approvals including wash standards, lab dips, fit samples, and bulk samples.

• Guarantee strict adherence to buyer specifications and quality benchmarks.

6. Time Management & Multitasking

• Manage multiple denim styles, large-scale orders, and diverse suppliers simultaneously.

• Prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Requirements

• 7–8 years of working experience in merchandising, preferably in a buying or sourcing office.

• NEXT denim production experience is preferable.

• Strong exposure to fast fashion EU/UK denim brands or mid-tier brands.

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Business, or related field.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Bengali.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and professional email correspondence.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and team management skills.

• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.

• Positive attitude, team spirit, and ownership mindset.
