Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

The global ready-made-garments industry is entering a decade defined by sustainability mandates, digital manufacturing, buyer-driven compliance regimes, and relentless pressure on cost and lead time. To stay ahead of this curve, we are seeking an experienced and visionary *Chief Transformation Officer* to lead a group-wide transformation program across our manufacturing facilities.

The CTO will act as the architect and driver of change — elevating our factories in sustainability performance, operational excellence, data-driven management, and audit readiness — to position the group as a partner of choice for global brands through 2030 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will include, but not be limited to:

1. Transformation Strategy & Leadership

a. Develop and own a multi-year transformation roadmap for the group, aligned with the vision of the Board and the expectations of international buyers.

b. Lead cross-functional transformation teams across factories; build internal change-management capability.

c. Report transformation progress, risks, and ROI directly to the Managing Director and Board.

2. Sustainability

a. Design and implement the group's sustainability strategy covering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions.

b. Drive decarbonization, energy efficiency, water stewardship, chemical management (ZDHC), and waste reduction initiatives across facilities.

c. Lead certification and rating programs (e.g., LEED, Higg FEM/FSLM, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, ISO 14001) and prepare the group for emerging requirements such as EU due-diligence legislation (CSDDD, CSRD) and buyer science-based targets.

3. Process Development & Operational Excellence

a. Assess current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for lean transformation, automation, and digitalization across cutting, sewing, finishing, and supporting functions.

b. Standardize best practices across factories; institutionalize continuous improvement (Kaizen, Six Sigma) culture.

c. Champion Industry 4.0 adoption — real-time production monitoring, digital work studies, and data-integrated planning.

4. KPI Development & Implementation

a. Design a group-wide KPI framework covering productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and people metrics.

b. Implement dashboards and management operating systems that enable data-driven decision-making from shop floor to boardroom.

c. Establish performance review cadences and accountability structures across all factories.

5. Audit & Compliance Readiness

a. Ensure all factories maintain year-round readiness for social, technical, security, and environmental audits (e.g., BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, RSC, C-TPAT, buyer-specific audits).

b. Build internal audit capability and corrective-action management systems that prevent findings rather than react to them.

c. Stay ahead of evolving buyer codes of conduct and regulatory requirements, translating them into factory-level action plans.

6. People & Culture

a. Develop mid-level leadership capable of sustaining transformation beyond individual projects.

b. Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
