Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT). Post-graduation is a plus

Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ Since November 2017, CDD in partnership with CBM is implementing humanitarian response for the Rohingyas and Host Communities in Ukhia, Cox`s Bazar. As per operational strategy 2020-22, the current key activities of the response consist of (1) the provision of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services, (2) running of a Therapy Corner to provide rehabilitation and other related services for the Children with severe impairments, and (3) technical support to mainstream organizations, advocacy with sectors to include persons with disabilities in the humanitarian action.
∎ CDD is now accepting applications for the project of "Inclusive Humanitarian Response. Access to Rehabilitation Services and Disability Mainstreaming for the Rohingya Crisis"

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Door to door clients/Persons with disabilities screening and assessment of Rohingya people with Occupational Therapy intervention.
∎ Preparation of treatment plan for follow up Therapeutic services.
∎ Provide follow up Occupational Therapy sessions in client home/shelter.
∎ Selection of appropriate assistive device for clients.
∎ Conduct accessibility assessment, conduct Home/shelter Modification for better accessibility for Person with Disabilities considering universal design.
∎ Client referral to other professionals for medical and other need based services and follow up.
∎ Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
∎ Liaise, coordinate with relevant authorities to plan, organize and follow up of Hearing & Visual out-reach camps.
∎ Work with Rehab Coordinator for maintaining liaison with CiC Office, and other relevant authorities, attend monthly coordination meeting at CIC office.
∎ Developing case studies, lessons learned and representing in appropriate forum.
∎ You will also perform additional work according to the projects need and as being assigned by the CDD authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years
∎ Strong team management, staff capacity building and motivation skills in teamwork and networking
∎ Computer operation: Skills on MS word, Excel and power point.
∎ At least 2 to 3 years' experience in a National or International NGO in the same profile, preferably in an emergency setting.
∎ Ability to take initiative and generate ideas to complex situations.
∎ Cross-cultural communication skills.
∎ Ability to prioritize workload in fast paced environment and handle stress with limited supervision.
∎ Willingness to learn and take on progressive portfolio of responsibilities.
∎ Excellent oral and written English and Bangla and capacity to produce learning documents and products.
∎ Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet package).
∎ Experience in inclusion of at-risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people.
∎ Experience in capacity building and delivering trainings, preferably in the field of age and /or disability
∎ Experience in humanitarian context/ Cox's Bazar context and preferably in an advocacy and/or technical support position
∎ Knowledge / understanding of humanitarian principles, architecture, disability inclusion standards and guidelines and Universal Design principles
∎ Effective communication, conflict management and problem solving skills
∎ Excellent team managing skills
∎ Ability to delegate tasks
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 66500 (Monthly)
