Job Context
Uttaran is a national development organization working in the coastal region of Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged. Uttaran facilitates in getting access to and control over resources by the poor and disadvantaged to improve agricultural productivity and economic empowerment.
Uttaran with the help of HELVETAS Swiss Interco operation Bangladesh will collaborate to implement the Actions to Climate Change Ensuring Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) programme in the southwestern region of Bangladesh. This partnership aims to enhance capacities in adaptation, disaster risk management, climate-induced migration, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), livelihood, soil, and food security through mutual capacity strengthening programs and knowledge-sharing activities. Together, they will explore, pilot, and disseminate innovative technologies and methodologies while engaging in advocacy efforts to promote their adoption.

Job Responsibilities
The Admin and Finance Officer will manage financial operations to ensure smooth and compliant implementation of the Project and other organizational initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Scope of Work
The activity will include:
Manage daily financial transactions and maintain books of accounts.
Support to officer finance and Admin to organize all financial documents, including vouchers, ledgers, bills, and reports.
Assist to maintain and update inventory and asset registers in line with organizational policies.
Bank cheques, audit reports, agreements, and other sensitive documents.
Follow updated VAT, tax, and revenue compliance as per Bangladesh government regulations.
Assist to deposit VAT and tax to the government treasury within deadlines.
Follow the procurement processes to ensure policy and compliance adherence before payment.
Assist to officer finance and Admin to conduct internal audits and respond to audit observations by preparing management responses.
Participate in staff coordination meetings, share financial updates, and plan accordingly.
Collaborate with programmatic teams to verify expenditures and monitor project activities.
Support Uttaran’s management and donors with regular coordination and communication.
Roles and Responsibilities
Follow the staff’s management policy and accounts management policy of the organization.
Submission of weekly/monthly activity plans and reports.
Maintain and fulfill movement registers for field visits properly.
Fulfill and maintain leave forms properly.
Maintain tour forms properly and submit them after tours with vouchers.
Preserve organizational files and resources.
Prepare for conducting additional responsibilities as required by the organization.
Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views towards higher authority and show faith in the organization.
Consolidate and unite for the organization.
Salary: 30000/- BDT (Including all benefits, Excluding mobile bill and transportation cost)
