Role Summary

 

The Finance Manager will lead the financial management, statutory compliance, donor reporting, and internal control functions of the organization in Bangladesh. This role is responsible for ensuring transparent financial operations, strong governance, full regulatory compliance (NGOAB, RJSC, NBR, VAT), and accurate donor-funded project reporting in line with international nonprofit standards. The

 

Finance Manager will oversee budgeting, accounting, audit coordination, grant compliance, and capacity-building of finance teams across program locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Financial Management & Accounting

•  Manage day-to-day financial operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and banking.

•  Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS) and nonprofit accounting principles.

•  Oversee monthly closing processes, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.

•  Maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions, including vouchers, invoices, and approvals.

 

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance (Bangladesh Specific)

•  Ensure full compliance with NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) requirements including FD-6, FD-7, FD-8 submissions.

•  Ensure timely submission of NGOAB-required quarterly and annual financial reports.

•  Oversee compliance with withholding tax deductions (AIT) and VAT submissions (Mushak) under NBR regulations.

•  Support legal compliance reporting for registered charitable entities and RJSC requirements.
