  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant technical, vocational, business, agriculture, engineering, hospitality, ICT, healthcare, environmental technology, or related discipline.·   

  • Trade-specific certification, TVET qualification, Training of Trainers certification, or competency-based training certification will be an added advantage.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Trainer - TVET will be responsible for conducting Technical and Vocational Education and Training for selected participants under The Earth Society’s programmes. The role will focus on building practical skills, improving employability, supporting self-employment opportunities, and preparing participants for wage employment, entrepreneurship, or income-generating activities.

Key Training Areas

The Trainer - TVET may be required to conduct or support training in one or more of the following areas, based on project design and market demand:

• Bank-linked Mobile Financial Services training

• Modern craft and handicraft training

• Electric vehicle and e-vehicle-related training

• Healthcare service training

• Hotel and hospitality management training

• Information and Communication Technology training

• Light engineering industry training

• Logistics and supply chain management training

• Product packaging methods training

• Ready-made garments industry training

• Renewable energy and environment-friendly technology training

• Hotel or restaurant food service training

• Demand-based training for Special Economic Zones, Economic Zones, and Export Processing Zones

• Sales and marketing training

• Sustainable agriculture and organic farming training

• Sustainable aquaculture training

• Sustainable dairy production and farm management training

• Sustainable fertilizer production training

• Sustainable floriculture training

• Sustainable advanced farm management training

• Traditional and high-demand occupation-based training

• Waste recycling and waste management training

Key Responsibilities

Training Planning and Delivery

• Conduct TVET training sessions according to the approved curriculum, module, session plan, competency standard, and project guidelines.

• Prepare training plans, lesson plans, practical demonstrations, learning materials, handouts, assessment tools, and training schedules.

• Deliver practical and market-oriented training to help participants gain employable and income-generating skills.

• Use participatory and hands-on methods, including demonstration, group practice, simulation, workplace-based examples, field exposure, and practical assignments.

• Ensure that training sessions are inclusive, safe, engaging, and understandable for youth, women, marginalized groups, and community-level participants.

Technical Skills Development

• Provide practical training in relevant technical or vocational trades according to project requirements.

• Build participants’ knowledge, confidence, and hands-on capacity to perform trade-specific tasks independently.

• Guide participants on the proper use of tools, equipment, materials, technology, safety measures, and quality standards.

• Ensure that participants understand workplace discipline, productivity, service quality, customer handling, teamwork, and professional behavior.

• Support participants to connect their technical skills with job placement, self-employment, entrepreneurship, and local market opportunities.

Training Quality and Participant Assessment

• Conduct pre-training and post-training assessments to measure participant learning progress.

• Monitor participant attendance, participation, performance, skills improvement, and completion status.

• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and additional support to participants who need improvement.

• Maintain training quality by following the approved curriculum, occupational standards, and project indicators.

• Support certification, competency assessment, or skills verification processes when required.

Employment and Entrepreneurship Linkage Support

• Coordinate with Job Placement Officers, Enterprise Development Officers, SEB Trainers, EDT Trainers, and field teams to prepare participants for employment or self-employment.

• Identify job-ready and enterprise-ready participants and refer them to relevant project staff for placement or business support.

• Support participants in understanding trade-based employment opportunities, workplace requirements, income potential, and business possibilities.

• Assist in collecting information on local market demand, employer needs, trade opportunities, and emerging skills requirements.

• Encourage participants to apply their skills for employment, freelancing, self-employment, small business, or income-generating activities.

Climate-Smart and Sustainable Skills Promotion

• Promote environment-friendly practices, safety standards, resource efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible use of materials during training.

• Encourage climate-smart and sustainable livelihood practices in relevant training areas such as renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, dairy, fertilizer production, floriculture, farm management, and waste recycling.

• Ensure that participants understand basic occupational health and safety, workplace hygiene, environmental responsibility, and safe handling of tools and equipment.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of training attendance, session plans, assessment results, participant performance, photographs, training materials, and practical activity documentation.

• Prepare training reports, participant progress updates, assessment summaries, completion reports, and follow-up notes.

• Collect and document participant success stories, skill improvement examples, field observations, and employment or self-employment evidence.

• Submit all required reports and documents to the supervisor within the given timeline.

• Ensure that all training documents are accurate, complete, organized, and aligned with The Earth Society’s reporting standards.

Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate with the Upazila Manager, Cluster Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Community Mobilizer, Job Placement Officer, Enterprise Development Officer, and other project staff for smooth training implementation.

• Support training-related logistics, venue preparation, equipment setup, material distribution, attendance collection, and participant follow-up.

• Communicate regularly with participants, field teams, training centers, employers, local businesses, technical institutions, and relevant stakeholders.

• Represent The Earth Society professionally during training sessions, field visits, market visits, employer visits, and stakeholder meetings.
