  • Master’s degree in development studies, Social Science, Environmental Studies, Gender Studies, or related discipline. from a reputed university. Understanding capacity assessment and capacity building; skills developing training modules; facilitation and training delivery, training follow-up and impact assessment.

  • At least 7 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of participatory program planning, management, monitoring, sustainable agriculture, food rights, Livelihood development, climate change adaptation, Reflection-Action process and capacity building within a development organization/NGO.

  • Experience working with NGO, INGOs or donor-funded projects (preferably DASCOH or ActionAid or similar).

  • Good communication skill in English - both oral and written.

  • Planning, supervision, implementation, and evaluation of community-based programme interventions on LRP.

  • Understanding program planning and budget, M&E, reporting system.

  • Communication, interpersonal and networking skills.

  • Strong team building and capacity building skills.

  • Confidence, interpersonal and representational skills and strong facilitation skills.

  • Strong understanding of Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA).

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.

  • Excellent facilitation and community mobilization skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Working hours-Sunday to Thursday; 40 hours in a week; (08:30 am to 05:00 pm with half an hour lunch and prayer break).



Responsibilities & Context:

Introduction

DASCOH Foundation is implementing LRP-57 in partnership with ActionAid Bangladesh. The Program integrates women’s rights, youth engagement, climate resilience, and child development initiatives.

Purpose of the position

The LRP Coordinator will be responsible for overall implementation of the project activities in LRP-57 working area at Porsa, Naogaon. S/he will act as key person to provide guidance to the field team members to implement LRP-57 activities as well as AAB implement other project operations. S/he will be responsible for planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring, and supervision of the project activities including management of financial and human resources. S/he will provide regular supports to the project team members in implementation of different events and innovations as per LRP-57 plan. S/he will keep in close contact with the Line Manager-LRP of AAB. S/he will represent the project as well as AAB to different levels of stakeholders/organizations.

S/he will contribute to implementing ActionAid sponsorship and safeguarding policies and KKM financial, administrative, and human resources policies and procedures. S/he is also responsible for coordination, communication, timely submission of sponsorship reports, activity progress report, budget for ActionAid Bangladesh Head Office in scheduled time. S/he will help to prepare all progress reports. Being to be familiar with the ActionAid financial, inventory, administrative, and HR reporting system and formats are essential. Accommodate the Internal and External Audit recommendations, especially the financial issues for the project and third party as and when required. S/he is also responsible to assist the Focal Person of the Project and Finance to support for the Internal/External Audit as & when required.

Job description

Planning, budgeting and sharing the project activities

  • Develop a planning matrix, plan, and budget for LRP-57 by conducting PRRP

  • Prepare a strategic operational plan of approved activities of LRP-57

  • Prepare KPI of LRP-57 planned activities as well as the self KPI

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual activity plans

  • Arrange staff coordination and progress meeting

  • Take initiatives on operation considering HRBA process as well as ensuring sponsorship and safeguarding policies at the office and program level

  • Represent the project as well as AAB to local authorities and different levels of stakeholders/organizations

Implementation, monitoring & reporting of the project activities

  • Monitoring the progress of delivering planned activities of LRP

  • Assist team members to develop the project reports (monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual, etc.) with related evidence like photos, video clips, case stories, attendance sheets, master rolls, event reports etc

  • Develop systems to monitor the quality of child messages and photographs consulting with the sponsorship unit of AAB

  • Provide feedback and guidance to the staff consider reviewing the progress and field observations for better performance

  • Support the team members to mobilize the community people for social movement, advocacy with service providers and other stakeholders

  • Supervise implementation of activities including: HRBA orientation, Women leadership and GBV awareness sessions, SRHR awareness and hygiene kit distribution, Vocational training and scholarship support, Climate resilience workshops and plantation initiatives, Disaster Risk Management (DRM) training, Ensure effective establishment and management of SBKs

Team Management

  • Facilitate the team members to internalize different conceptual and methodological documents as well as the processes, on the job training, etc

  • Provide accompaniment support to make team members more confident in order to facilitate different events at community level

  • Assist team members to develop an effective action plan to implement the planned activities of LRP-57

  • Conduct needs assessment of team members and takes initiative to improve the capacity of gaps considering the planning matrix

  • Generate new and innovative ideas for effective implementation of project activities and sharing among the team members as well as different stakeholder levels

  • Build staff capacity on HRBA, safeguarding, gender equality, and accountability

Coordination and linkage with different stakeholder

  • Share the project objectives and strategies with Upazila and district-level administration, line agencies, and stakeholders

  • Coordinate sponsorship events at the LRP level

  • Integrate programme with child sponsorship in consultation with Strategic Priorities of AAB

  • Develop a good relationship, maintain liaison and advocacy with different government and NGO officials to ensure different services for the target population

  • Take initiatives for smooth operation at LRP level consulting with LRP, program units (SPs), and functions (CS, finance, HROD, communication unit) of AAB

  • Share the update (messages, information, policies, instructions, etc.) properly among the staff, Programme participants and other stakeholders timely

  • Assist the internal and the external team for program visit

Administrative and financial management

  • Check and approve bills and vouchers of project expenditure as per financial policy of AAB

  • Provide support to procurement committee of LRP-57 to maintain all procurement under LRP-57 to ensure procurement policy

  • Provide oversight into the maintenance and proper use of all project materials and resources and keep the register/inventory

  • Support finance and administrative staff to ensure and maintain the proper documentation like different registers, logbook, etc

  • Support external and internal audit team on financial activities consulting with finance focal of AAB

  • Conduct the staff appraisal as per HROD policy
